4. Setup

4.1. Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom or side of the camera.
  2. Insert the rechargeable lithium battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment. One battery may already be pre-installed.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2. Memory Card Installation

The camera supports SD memory cards and MMC cards from 4GB to 128GB (not included).

  1. Locate the memory card slot, usually near the battery compartment.
  2. Insert the SD or MMC card with the metal contacts facing the correct direction until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, gently push the card in until it springs out.

4.3. Charging the Battery

The camera is powered by a rechargeable lithium battery (700mAh).

  1. Connect the camera to a computer or power bank using the provided USB cable.
  2. The charging indicator light will illuminate.
  3. Charging is complete when the indicator light changes or turns off (refer to the camera's display for battery status).

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Powering On/Off

  • To power on, press and hold the power button (usually marked with a power symbol). The IPS screen will light up.
  • To power off, press and hold the power button again. The camera also features an auto-off function (1min/3min/5min/No Shutdown) to save power.

5.2. Basic Photo and Video Capture

  • Switching Modes: Use the mode button (often labeled 'MODE') to switch between photo and video modes.
  • Taking Photos: In photo mode, press the shutter button (usually on top) to capture an image.
  • Recording Videos: In video mode, press the record button (often marked with a red dot) to start recording. Press again to stop.

5.3. Zoom Function

The camera features 16X digital zoom.

  • Use the T (Telephoto) button to zoom in and the W (Wide) button to zoom out.

5.4. Self-Timer

Set a delay before taking a photo.

  • Access the menu, navigate to the self-timer setting, and select 2s, 5s, or 10s.

5.5. Smart Detection Features

The camera includes Face Detection, Smile Detection, and Beauty Mode.

  • These features can be enabled or disabled through the camera's menu settings. When enabled, the camera will intelligently detect faces and can automatically capture a photo when a smile is detected.

  • Exposure Compensation: Adjust the brightness of your photos from -3.0 to +3.0 in the menu.

5.8. Connecting to a Computer

Use the USB cable to connect the camera to a computer for file transfer.

  • Connect the camera to your computer using the provided USB 2.0 cable.
  • The camera will appear as a removable disk drive on your computer, allowing you to access and transfer photos and videos.

6.1. Cleaning the Camera

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera body.
  • For the lens and screen, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth and solution to avoid scratches.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.

6.2. Battery Care

  • Charge the battery fully before first use.
