5. Setup and Installation
The Eujgoov Air Quality Sensor Module is designed for direct installation and use. Follow the steps below for proper connection.
5.1. Physical Connections
The module utilizes an XH2.54 Female Socket for connections. Refer to the pinout diagram and table below for correct wiring.
Figure 1: Front view of the sensor module with pin labels and connection diagrams. This image displays the front of the sensor module, highlighting the TX, NC, GND, and VDD pins. To its right, two connection diagrams illustrate how to interface the module using either the 485 Protocol (A, B, GND, 5V) or UART (RXD, N/A, GND, 5V) with an M702 V2.4 system.
Figure 2: Pin Assignment Table. This table provides a clear breakdown of the module's pin functions: Pin 1 for 5V power, Pin 2 for Power ground (GND), Pin 3 as N/A (Dangling), and Pin 4 for UART data output (TXD).
Connect the module to your system using the provided data cable according to the pin definitions:
- Pin 1 (5V): Connect to a stable 5V DC power supply.
- Pin 2 (GND): Connect to the power ground.
- Pin 3 (N/A): This pin is not used and should be left dangling.
- Pin 4 (TXD): This is the UART data output pin. Connect it to the RXD pin of your receiving device for data communication.
The module supports the 485 Protocol for data output. Ensure your receiving system is configured to communicate via this protocol.
6. Operating Instructions
Once properly connected and powered, the module will begin monitoring air quality. Note the following operational characteristics:
- Preheating: Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Formaldehyde (CH2O), and Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC) sensors require approximately 2 minutes of preheating time to stabilize and provide accurate readings.
- Immediate Readings: All other parameters, including PM2.5, PM10, temperature, and humidity, will display readings immediately upon power-on without a preheating delay.
- Data Output: The module continuously outputs data for all seven parameters via the 485 Protocol through the TXD pin. Your connected system should be programmed to read and interpret this data stream.

The accompanying text lists its integrated components: a dust sensor, infrared carbon dioxide sensor, electrochemical formaldehyde sensor, VOC sensor, and temperature and humidity sensor, all contributing to high sensitivity and stable data.
7. Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Eujgoov Air Quality Sensor Module, consider the following maintenance guidelines:
- Keep Clean: Periodically inspect the module for dust accumulation, especially around the sensor openings. Gently clean with a soft, dry brush or compressed air if necessary. Avoid using liquids or harsh chemicals.
- Environmental Conditions: Operate the module within the specified working temperature (0°C ~ 50°C) and humidity (≤95%RH) ranges. Avoid exposure to extreme conditions, direct water, or corrosive environments.
- Secure Connections: Ensure all electrical connections remain secure and free from corrosion.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Eujgoov Air Quality Sensor Module, try the following troubleshooting steps:
- No Power/No Readings:
- Verify that the 5V DC power supply is correctly connected to Pin 1 and ground to Pin 2.
- Check the power supply voltage to ensure it is within the 5.0VDC specification.
- Ensure the data cable is securely connected to both the module and your receiving device.
- Inaccurate Readings (CO2, CH2O, TVOC):
- Allow the module to preheat for at least 2 minutes after power-on before taking readings for these parameters.
- Ensure the module is not placed in an area with restricted airflow or near sources of high concentration of the gases being measured, which could skew readings.
- Communication Issues:
- Confirm that your receiving device is configured to communicate using the 485 Protocol.
- Check the wiring of the TXD pin to the RXD pin of your receiving device.
If problems persist after attempting these steps, please contact Eujgoov customer support for further assistance.
