- Main Unit with Control Panel: Houses the motor, heating element, and LED display with program buttons.

3. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and dispose of them responsibly.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the jug and lid with warm soapy water. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Ensure all parts are thoroughly dry before assembly.
- Placement: Place the soup maker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the countertop and out of reach of children. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the appliance.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The LED display will illuminate.
4. Operating Instructions
The Daewoo SYM-1373 offers 3 main programs and additional functions for versatile use.
- Add Ingredients: Place your desired ingredients into the stainless steel jug. Ensure the liquid level is between the 'MIN 800ml' and 'MAX 1000ml' markings. Do not overfill.
- Secure the Lid: Place the lid firmly onto the jug.
- Select Program: Press the 'MODE' button repeatedly to cycle through the available programs. The selected program will be indicated on the LED display. Available programs include:
- Smooth: For creamy soups and purees.
- Chunky: For soups with larger pieces of ingredients.
- Compote: For fruit compotes.
- Juice: For blending juices.
- Re-heat: To warm up pre-cooked soups.
- Blend: For manual blending without heating.
- Start Operation: Once the desired program is selected, press the 'START/STOP' button. The appliance will begin its cycle, and the LED display will show the remaining time.
- Completion: The soup maker will beep when the program is complete. Carefully remove the lid, using caution as steam will be released.
- Serving: Pour the contents into a serving bowl.
5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your soup maker.
- Unplug: Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Clean the Jug: The stainless steel jug is dishwasher safe. Alternatively, you can clean it by hand with warm soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. Rinse thoroughly.
- Clean the Lid: Wash the lid with warm soapy water and rinse well.
- Clean the Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers. Never immerse the main unit in water.
- Drying: Ensure all parts are completely dry before storing or next use.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Appliance does not turn on:
- Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
- Ensure the lid is correctly placed on the jug.
- Program does not start:
- Verify that the liquid level is between the MIN and MAX markings.
- Ensure the lid is properly closed.
- Food is not blended smoothly:
- Ensure you have selected the 'Smooth' program.
- For tougher ingredients, you may need to cut them into smaller pieces before adding.
- Use the 'Blend' function for additional blending if needed after a program finishes.
- Burning smell:
- Immediately unplug the appliance.
- Check for any food residue stuck to the heating element or blades. Clean thoroughly once cooled.
- If the smell persists after cleaning, discontinue use and contact customer support.
