Operating Instructions

Automatic Operation

The built-in light sensor detects ambient light levels. The lights will automatically charge during the day when exposed to sunlight and illuminate when it gets dark. No manual intervention is required for daily operation.

Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Kyosho Solar Spot Lights, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Clean Solar Panel: Regularly wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or debris that may obstruct sunlight absorption.
  • Clear Obstructions: Ensure no leaves, branches, or other objects are blocking the solar panel or the light sensor.
  • Check Placement: Periodically verify that the lights are securely installed and the solar panel is positioned to receive maximum direct sunlight.
  • Water Drainage: The lights feature additional vents for water flow. Ensure these vents remain clear of blockages.

Troubleshooting

If your Kyosho Solar Spot Lights are not functioning as expected, consider the following:

  • Light Not Turning On at Night:
    • Ensure the solar panel is receiving at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily.
    • Check for any obstructions (e.g., trees, buildings) blocking sunlight from the solar panel.
    • Verify that the light sensor is not covered or exposed to other light sources at night (e.g., streetlights).
    • Confirm the power button is pressed to activate a light mode.
  • Short Illumination Time:
    • Insufficient charging due to cloudy weather or inadequate sunlight exposure.
    • The selected brightness mode (High) consumes more power, resulting in shorter illumination. Try a lower mode.
    • Battery may not be fully charged. Allow several days of full sunlight for optimal charging.
  • Dim Light:
    • Clean the solar panel and light surface to remove any dirt or grime.
    • Ensure the light is set to a higher brightness mode if more intensity is desired.
