4. Setup

4.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the camera's 5200 mAh battery. A full charge typically takes approximately 8 hours. The camera operates on battery power, offering flexible placement without constant power connection.

4.2 App Download and Account Creation

Download the VicoHome App from your device's App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Follow the in-app instructions to create a new account. You will need to set a name, location, and login email, then input a verification code received via email to complete registration. Set a secure password for your account.

4.3 Camera Pairing

  1. In the VicoHome App, select 'Add a new camera'.
  2. Turn on the camera by long-pressing the power button for 3 seconds. The indicator light will flash, and voice prompts will confirm it's on.
  3. Confirm in the app that the camera is emitting a beeping sound.
  4. Input your 2.4G WiFi password (5G WiFi is not supported).
  5. Use the camera to scan the QR code displayed on your phone screen. Hold the camera approximately 10-15 cm (4-6 inches) from the phone.
  6. Once connected, the app will confirm 'Connection succeeded'.

4.4 Installation

Select a suitable location for installation, ensuring strong 2.4G WiFi signal strength. The camera comes with a bracket and screws for mounting. The adjustable bracket allows you to swivel the camera to capture the desired area.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Live View and Recording

Access the live video feed through the VicoHome App. You can view real-time footage, capture screenshots, and record video directly from the app. The camera provides clear 2K resolution during the day and effective infrared night vision in low-light conditions.

5.2 Motion Detection and Alerts

The camera features a PIR motion sensor that detects human and pet shapes. Upon detection, it sends instant alerts to your phone. Recorded 10-second video clips are stored in the VicoHome app.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Connectivity Issues

If the camera frequently drops offline or has difficulty connecting, ensure it is within range of your 2.4G WiFi router and the signal strength is adequate. Relocating the camera closer to the router or using a WiFi extender may improve connectivity. Verify that your router is set to 2.4Ghz, as 5Ghz is not supported.

7.2 Live Feed Loading Slowly

Slow live feed loading can be due to weak WiFi signal or network congestion. Check your internet speed and camera's WiFi signal strength in the app. If the issue persists, try restarting your router and the camera.

7.3 Motion Detection Sensitivity

If you are receiving too many or too few motion alerts, adjust the motion detection sensitivity settings within the VicoHome App. You can also define custom activity zones to focus detection on specific areas and ignore others.
