6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance will prolong the life and ensure the safety of your pool step system.
- Cleaning: Clean the steps regularly with a mild pool-safe cleaner and a soft brush to remove algae, dirt, and sunscreen residue. Rinse thoroughly.
- Flow-Through Design: The side openings allow for water circulation, preventing stagnant water and allowing pool chemicals to circulate effectively. Ensure these openings remain clear.
- Winterization: Before winter, remove the step system from the pool, clean it thoroughly, and store it in a dry, protected area to prevent damage from freezing temperatures.
- Hardware Check: Periodically check all bolts, screws, and connection fittings to ensure they are tight. Tighten as needed.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Aqua Select Everest Entry Step System, consider the following common solutions:
- Instability: If the steps feel wobbly, ensure all connection fittings to the outside ladder are secure. Verify that the step system is level on the pool bottom. If applicable, ensure the steps are filled with water as per assembly instructions.
- Difficulty Assembling: Review the assembly guide carefully. Ensure all parts are oriented correctly. Do not force components together; if parts do not fit, re-check the instructions.
- Algae Growth: Regular cleaning and proper pool chemical balance will prevent excessive algae growth on the steps.
- Damage: If any part of the step system is cracked or broken, discontinue use immediately and contact customer support for replacement parts.
