Setup and Installation
1. Pre-installation Checklist
- Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker.
- Confirm a neutral wire (typically white) is available in your wall box.
- Verify a stable 2.4GHz Wi-Fi signal is available at the installation location.
2. Wiring Instructions
Follow the wiring diagram carefully. Wire colors may vary in some installations; consult a professional if unsure.

- Connect the N line (Neutral) to the 'N' terminal on the switch.
- Connect the L line (Live) to the 'L' terminal on the switch.
- Connect the neutral wire from the water heater to the 'N1' terminal on the switch.
- Connect the live wire from the water heater to the 'L1' terminal on the switch.
- Ensure all connections are tight and secure.
3. Physical Installation
After wiring, carefully place the switch into the wall box and secure it with the provided screws. Attach the glass panel.

4. App Pairing
Once installed and power is restored, the indicator light on the switch will flash. This indicates it is ready for pairing.
- Download the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app from your device's app store (iOS/Android).
- Register or log in to your account.
- Add a new device in the app. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the switch to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Indicator Light Status: If the indicator light is flashing quickly, it is in pairing mode. If it is off or flashing slowly, long-press the button on the switch panel until it flashes quickly to enter pairing mode.
Operating Instructions
1. Manual Touch Control
The switch features a responsive tempered glass touch panel. Simply touch the designated area to turn your water heater ON or OFF.
- LED Backlight: A soft red light indicates the water heater is ON. A blue light indicates it is OFF. This helps locate the switch in the dark.
2. App Control
Control your water heater remotely using the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app on your iOS or Android device.

- Open the app and select your water heater switch.
- Toggle the switch ON/OFF, set schedules, or adjust other settings from anywhere with an internet connection.
3. Voice Control
Integrate your smart switch with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for convenient voice commands.

- Link your Tuya Smart/Smart Life account to your Alexa or Google Home app.

4. Timing Function
Set custom schedules for your water heater to turn ON/OFF automatically, optimizing energy use and convenience.

- In the app, navigate to the timer or schedule settings for your switch.

5. Family Sharing

Maintenance
1. Cleaning
The tempered glass surface is waterproof, moisture-proof, and scratch-proof, making it easy to clean.
- Wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the glass or internal components.
- Ensure the switch is dry before operating.
2. Fluorescence Feature
The switch panel is designed to fluoresce for up to 24 hours, making it easy to locate in the dark.

Troubleshooting

This warranty covers manufacturing defects and malfunctions under normal use. It does not cover damage caused by improper installation, misuse, accidents, unauthorized repairs, or acts of nature.
