Setup and Installation
This replacement kit is designed for easy installation. However, if you are unsure about any steps, consult a qualified technician.
- Prepare the Chair: Position the recliner chair in an accessible area. Ensure it is stable and will not tip during the installation process.
- Disconnect Power: Crucially, unplug the recliner chair from the wall outlet before proceeding.
- Identify and Remove Old Motor: Locate the existing motor actuator under the chair. It is typically secured by 4 bolts and a connecting pin. Carefully remove these fasteners. Disconnect the old hand control and power supply cables from the motor. Remove the old motor.
- Install New Motor Actuator: Position the new Limoss MD140-02-L1-157-307 motor actuator in the same location as the old one. Secure it using the 4 bolts and the connecting pin. Ensure all connections are tight and the motor is stable.
- Connect Hand Control: Plug the 5-pin connector from the new hand control into the corresponding port on the motor actuator.
- Connect Power Supply: Plug the 2-pin connector from the power supply (Model MC120) into the motor actuator. Then, connect the AC cable cord to the power supply.
- Test Functionality: Once all connections are secure, plug the recliner chair back into a wall outlet. Use the hand control to test the motor's movement. Ensure the chair reclines and lifts smoothly without obstruction.

Operating Instructions
The recliner lift chair is operated using the provided 2-button, 5-pin hand control.
- To Recline: Press and hold the button marked with a downward arrow or recline symbol. The chair will smoothly move into a reclined position. Release the button when the desired position is reached.
- To Lift/Return to Upright: Press and hold the button marked with an upward arrow or lift symbol. The chair will return to an upright position or lift to assist in standing. Release the button when the desired position is reached.
Avoid pressing both buttons simultaneously. Do not force the chair into a position; allow the motor to operate smoothly.
Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and smooth operation of your motor actuator.
- Cleaning: Wipe clean the motor actuator and surrounding components with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the motor in water.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect all cables and connections for signs of wear, fraying, or damage. Ensure all bolts and pins securing the motor are tight.
- Lubrication: The motor actuator is factory-lubricated and generally does not require additional lubrication. If you notice unusual noise or stiffness, consult a professional.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your recliner lift chair, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Chair does not move | No power to the unit | Check if the power cord is securely plugged into the wall outlet and the power supply. Ensure the power supply is connected to the motor. |
| Chair moves slowly or intermittently | Loose connection or obstruction | Inspect all cable connections for tightness. Check for any objects obstructing the motor or chair mechanism. |
| Unusual noise during operation | Mechanism friction or motor issue | Ensure no parts are rubbing. If the noise persists, contact customer support. |
| Hand control unresponsive | Faulty hand control or connection | Check the 5-pin connection to the motor. If still unresponsive, the hand control may need replacement. |
