1. Introduction

The PETKIT Pura Max is an advanced self-cleaning litter box designed to provide a clean and odor-free environment for your cat. Featuring an XSecure safety system, app control, and a large capacity, it simplifies litter management for single or multi-cat households.

2. Safety Information

Please read and understand all safety instructions before operating the device to prevent injury or damage.

• The XSecure safety system includes a thermal sensor, infrared sensor, weight sensor, and intelligent detection to prevent accidents.
• Applicable weight range for cats is 3 kg to 15 kg. Not suitable for young animals under 6 months old.
• Do not place the device on carpets or rugs, as this may interfere with the sensors and cause malfunction.
• Place the device on a flat, stable floor.
• Do not block the entrance of the litter box.
• Ensure the device is unplugged before performing any maintenance or cleaning.

3. Setup Guide

Follow these steps for initial setup of your PETKIT Pura Max:

1. Unpack all components and ensure all parts are present.
2. Place the litter box on a flat, stable surface away from carpets or rugs.
3. Unlock the waste drawer latch and pull out the drawer.
4. Insert a new waste bag into the drawer, ensuring it is properly secured.
5. Slide the waste drawer back into place and lock the latch.
6. Add your preferred cat litter (clay, tofu, or mixed) into the main cylinder. The device supports various litter types.
7. Connect the power adapter and plug it into an electrical outlet.
8. Download the PETKIT app and follow the in-app instructions to connect your device.

4. Operating Instructions

The PETKIT Pura Max offers both automatic and manual cleaning options, controllable via the device or the PETKIT app.

4.1 Automatic Cleaning

The device automatically detects when your cat has used the litter box and initiates a cleaning cycle after a set delay. The XSecure system ensures the device stops immediately if a cat approaches during cleaning.

4.2 App Control

The PETKIT app provides comprehensive control and monitoring features:

• Manual/Automatic Modes: Switch between cleaning modes.
• Health Tracking: Monitor your cat's weight, usage times, and duration.
• Custom Cleaning Cycles: Personalize cleaning schedules.

4.3 Odor Control

The sealed waste container and optional N50 odor eliminator (sold separately) help minimize odors. This version does not include the Smart Purifier or cleaning solution.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and hygiene. Always unplug the device before cleaning.

5.1 Waste Drawer Cleaning

1. Unlock the latch and remove the waste drawer.
2. Remove and dispose of the used waste bag.
3. Clean the drawer with a damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary. Dry thoroughly before inserting a new bag.

5.2 Litter Mat Cleaning

The cylindrical mat is designed to prevent soft waste from sticking and is scratch-resistant and waterproof.

1. Tap the mat to dislodge any trapped litter.
2. Fold the mat and empty the litter into a trash bin.
3. Wipe the mat with a damp cloth or rinse with water. Ensure it is dry before re-installing.

5.3 Interior Cylinder Cleaning

The inner cylinder is washable for thorough cleaning.

1. Remove the side cover.
2. Detach the red buckle that secures the cylinder.
3. Carefully lift and remove the entire cylinder.
4. Rinse the cylinder with water and clean with a mild detergent. Ensure it is completely dry before re-installing.
5. Re-install the cylinder, secure the buckle, and replace the side cover.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your PETKIT Pura Max, refer to the following common solutions:

• Device not cleaning: Check if the device is placed on a flat, hard surface. Carpets or rugs can interfere with weight sensors. Ensure the waste drawer is correctly inserted and the latch is secured.
• Odor issues: Ensure the waste bag is properly sealed within the drawer. Consider purchasing and installing the PETKIT N50 odor eliminator.
• App connectivity problems: Ensure your device is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network. Restart the litter box and your smartphone, then try reconnecting via the app.
• Cat not using the litter box: Allow your cat time to adjust to the new litter box. Ensure the litter type is familiar and appealing to your cat.
• Error messages: Refer to the PETKIT app for specific error codes and recommended actions.
