4. Maintenance

4.1 Water Resistance

This watch is water-resistant to 200 meters (20 BAR). This means it is suitable for recreational scuba diving. Do not operate buttons while the watch is wet or submerged. After exposure to saltwater, rinse the watch with fresh water and wipe it dry.

4.2 Cleaning

Wipe the watch with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture. For stubborn dirt, use a soft cloth dampened with a mild soap solution, then wipe dry. Avoid using chemical cleaners or solvents as they may damage the resin materials.

4.3 Battery Replacement

The watch is powered by a Quartz movement with a battery. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it indicates a low battery. Battery replacement should be performed by an authorized Casio service center to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.

4.4 General Care

  • Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight for prolonged periods, or strong magnetic fields.
  • The resin band and case are durable but can be damaged by harsh chemicals or excessive force.
  • Regularly check the watch for any signs of damage or wear.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Time is Incorrect

  • Digital Time: Ensure your Home City setting is correct and that DST (Daylight Saving Time) is set appropriately. Refer to Section 2.2.
  • Analog Hands: If analog hands do not match the digital time, perform the hand alignment procedure described in Section 2.3.

5.2 Display is Blank or Dim

  • This may indicate a low battery. Contact an authorized service center for battery replacement.
  • Ensure the watch is not in a power-saving mode (if applicable, though this model typically does not have an advanced power-saving feature that blanks the display entirely).

5.3 Buttons Not Responding

  • Ensure the watch is not submerged in water or excessively wet, which can interfere with button operation.
  • If the watch has been subjected to a strong impact, internal components may be damaged. Seek professional service.
