4. Setup

Before using your ROYALAXE R108 keyboard, ensure it is charged or connected via USB. Familiarize yourself with the connection mode switch and the Windows/Mac system switch located on the keyboard.

5. Connection Modes

The R108 keyboard supports three connection types: Wired, 2.4G Wireless, and Bluetooth. You can switch between these modes using the knob on the top-right corner of the keyboard.

5.1 Wired Connection

1. Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the keyboard's Type-C port.
2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to your computer's USB port.
3. Turn the mode knob to the 'Wired' position. The keyboard will automatically connect.

5.2 2.4G Wireless Connection

1. Locate the 2.4G USB dongle stored in the keyboard's base.
2. Insert the 2.4G USB dongle into an available USB port on your computer.
3. Turn the mode knob to the '2.4G' position. The keyboard should connect automatically.

5.3 Bluetooth Connection

1. Turn the mode knob to the 'BT' position.
2. Press and hold 'Fn' + 'BT1', 'BT2', or 'BT3' for 3-5 seconds until the indicator light flashes, indicating pairing mode.
3. On your device (computer, tablet, phone), search for Bluetooth devices and select 'ROYALAXE R108'.
4. Once paired, the indicator light will stop flashing. You can pair up to three Bluetooth devices.
5. To switch between paired Bluetooth devices, simply press 'Fn' + 'BT1', 'BT2', or 'BT3'.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 RGB Lighting Effects

The R108 keyboard offers 18+4 (22 total) RGB lighting modes. You can adjust brightness and switch between monochromatic lights directly on the keyboard. For advanced customization and additional preset colors, download the dedicated application.

6.2 System Switch (Windows/Mac)

A dedicated switch on the top right corner allows you to toggle between Windows and Mac operating system layouts, ensuring optimal key functionality for your preferred OS.

6.3 Hot-Swappable Switches

The R108 features hot-swappable 5-pin sockets, allowing you to easily remove and replace switches without soldering. Use the included keycap and switch removers for this process. This enables customization of your typing feel.

6.4 Anti-Ghosting (N-Key Rollover)

The keyboard supports full N-Key Rollover, meaning every key press is registered accurately, even when multiple keys are pressed simultaneously. This is crucial for fast typing and gaming.

• Keycaps: The double shot PBT keycaps are designed to resist grime buildup. Avoid using harsh chemicals that may damage the keycap material.
• Switches: If a switch becomes faulty or you wish to change the typing feel, use the included switch remover to carefully extract the switch and insert a new compatible one.

8. Troubleshooting

• Keyboard not responding:
  • Ensure the correct connection mode (Wired, 2.4G, or BT) is selected using the knob.
  • For wireless modes, check battery level. Recharge if necessary.
  • For 2.4G, ensure the dongle is securely inserted.
  • For Bluetooth, ensure the keyboard is paired and selected on your device. Try re-pairing if issues persist.
• RGB lights not working/incorrect:
  • Check keyboard settings via the dedicated application for custom profiles.
  • Ensure the keyboard is not in a low-power mode that disables lighting.
• Keys not registering or double-typing:
  • This may indicate a faulty switch. Use the included switch remover to replace the affected switch with one of the spare switches.
  • Ensure the keycap is properly seated on the switch.
• Difficulty switching between Windows/Mac:
  • Ensure the system switch on the top-right is firmly set to the desired operating system.
