Operating Instructions
1. Cooking Rice
- Measure the desired amount of rice using the provided measuring cup. One cup of uncooked rice typically yields two cups of cooked rice.
- Rinse the rice thoroughly using the steaming basket or a separate colander until the water runs clear. This helps prevent clumping.
- Place the rinsed rice into the removable non-stick cooking bowl.
- Add the appropriate amount of water according to the cooking guide below or the markings inside the cooking bowl. For best results, use the measuring cup provided.
- Ensure the exterior of the cooking bowl is dry, then place it into the rice cooker body.
- Close the hinged lid securely.
- Plug the power cord into a 120V AC electrical outlet. The 'Warm' indicator light will illuminate.
- Press the control switch down to the 'Cook' position. The 'Cook' indicator light will illuminate, and cooking will begin.
- Once the rice is cooked, the appliance will automatically switch to the 'Warm' setting, and the 'Warm' indicator light will illuminate.
- Allow the rice to rest on 'Warm' for 5-10 minutes before serving. This allows for further absorption of moisture and results in fluffier rice.
- Unplug the rice cooker when serving is complete.
2. Steaming Food
The steaming basket allows you to steam vegetables, seafood, or poultry. You can steam food while rice is cooking below, or steam food independently.

- Add water to the inner cooking bowl. For steaming only, add approximately 2-3 cups of water. For steaming while cooking rice, follow the rice cooking instructions and place the steaming basket on top of the inner bowl.
- Place the food to be steamed into the steaming basket. Ensure food is cut into uniform pieces for even cooking.
- Place the steaming basket onto the rim of the inner cooking bowl.
- Close the hinged lid.
- Plug in the appliance and press the control switch down to 'Cook'.
- Steam until food reaches desired tenderness. Cooking times will vary based on the type and quantity of food.
- Carefully remove the steaming basket using oven mitts to avoid steam burns.
- Unplug the rice cooker when finished.
3. Keep Warm Function
The rice cooker automatically switches to the 'Warm' function once cooking is complete. This feature keeps your rice at an optimal serving temperature without overcooking. The 'Warm' indicator light will be illuminated. Do not leave rice on 'Warm' for more than 12 hours to maintain quality.
