Important Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before using this heater. Failure to follow these instructions may result in fire, electric shock, or injury.

• Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug, or after the heater malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
• Do not use outdoors. This heater is intended for indoor use only.
• Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
• To disconnect heater, turn controls to OFF, then remove plug from outlet.
• Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
• To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
• A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.
• Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
• Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
• This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces.
• Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.

Setup and Installation

Unpacking:

Carefully remove the heater and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.

Assembly Options:

The Ballu Infrared Space Heater offers two installation methods: freestanding with casters or wall-mounted.

Freestanding Installation (with Casters):

1. Attach the provided casters to the base of the heater using the included screws. Ensure they are securely fastened.
2. Place the heater on a stable, level surface, ensuring it is at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) away from any walls, furniture, or flammable materials.

Wall Mount Installation:

1. Identify a suitable wall location, ensuring it is a solid surface capable of supporting the heater's weight.
2. Use the provided wall-mounting accessories (brackets, screws, anchors) to securely attach the heater to the wall. Follow the detailed instructions in the separate wall-mount guide if provided.
3. Ensure the heater is mounted at a safe distance from ceilings, floors, and adjacent walls to allow for proper heat distribution.

Power Connection:

Plug the heater directly into a 120V AC electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.

Operating Instructions

The heater features a user-friendly touch control panel with a TFT display for all settings.

Control Panel Overview:

• Power Button: Turns the heater ON/OFF.
• Temperature Adjustment: Use the arrow buttons to set the desired temperature (41°F - 96°F).
• Mode Button: Cycles through heating modes: Eco, Comfort, Anti-frost.
• Power Level Button: Selects between 750W and 1500W heating power.
• Timer Button: Activates and sets the 24-hour timer.
• Settings Menu: Accesses options for brightness level, sound on/off, and child lock.

Initial Use:

For the first use, it is recommended to set the maximum temperature (96°F) and power (1500W) and operate the heater for at least 1 hour to allow any manufacturing residues to burn off. A slight odor may be present initially; this is normal and will dissipate.

Setting Temperature and Mode:

1. Press the Power button to turn on the heater.
2. Use the Up/Down arrow buttons to adjust the desired temperature. The TFT display will show the current and target temperature.
3. Press the Mode button to cycle through Eco, Comfort, and Anti-frost modes.
4. Press the Power Level button to switch between 750W and 1500W.

Using the Timer:

The 24-hour timer allows you to schedule when the heater turns on or off.

1. Press the Timer button.
2. Use the arrow buttons to set the desired duration (in hours) for the heater to operate before automatically turning off, or to schedule a delayed start.
3. Confirm your selection.

Child Lock:

To prevent accidental changes to settings, activate the child lock feature through the settings menu.

Maintenance

Cleaning:

1. Always unplug the heater and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
3. Ensure no water enters the interior of the heater.
4. Clean the air intake and exhaust vents regularly with a vacuum cleaner or soft brush to prevent dust buildup.

Storage:

When not in use, store the heater in a cool, dry place. If possible, use the original packaging to protect it from dust and damage.
