3. Setup

Follow these steps to prepare your binoculars for use:

1. Attach the Neck Strap: Securely attach the Nikon Neoprene Binocular Neck Strap to the strap lugs on each side of the binocular body. Ensure it is firmly fastened to prevent accidental drops.

2. Adjust Eyecups: The adjustable eyecups can be twisted up or down to suit your preference, especially if you wear eyeglasses. Twist them up for viewing without eyeglasses, and twist them down for viewing with eyeglasses.

3. Adjust Interpupillary Distance: Hold the binoculars up to your eyes and adjust the distance between the two barrels until you see a single, circular field of view. This ensures proper alignment with your eyes.
4. Diopter Adjustment: Look through the binoculars at a distant object. Close your right eye and rotate the center focus knob until the image in your left eye is sharp. Then, close your left eye and rotate the diopter ring (usually on the right eyepiece) until the image in your right eye is sharp. Once set, use only the center focus knob for subsequent focusing.
