3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Battery Installation

1. Carefully remove the lid from the trash can body.
2. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the lid.
3. Open the battery cover.
4. Insert 2 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
5. Close the battery cover securely.

3.2 Trash Bag Installation

1. Remove the trash bag fix ring from the main body of the trash can.
2. Place a Code A custom-fit trash bag (or a standard 3.5 gallon bag) around the fix ring, ensuring the top edge of the bag is neatly tucked.
3. Insert the fix ring with the trash bag into the trash can body. Ensure the bag is fully extended to the bottom of the can.
4. Place the lid back onto the trash can body, aligning it properly.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Automatic Motion Sensor Operation

• To open the lid, simply place your hand or knee within the infrared sensing distance (approximately 13.8 inches or 35 cm) of the sensor located on the front of the lid.
• The lid will open automatically and remain open as long as your hand or knee is within the sensor's range.
• Once your hand or knee moves away from the sensor, the lid will automatically close after 5 seconds.

4.2 Manual Operation

• For extended open time or manual control, you can gently lift the lid manually. The lid is designed to stay open when manually lifted.
• To close, gently push the lid down until it is fully closed.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

• The trash can's IPX5 waterproof design allows for easy cleaning. You can rinse the exterior directly without damaging the unit.
• Wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent as needed. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
