Operating Instructions
The Turbinehead is engineered for effective cleaning across various floor types. Its design allows for smooth maneuverability and efficient debris collection.
- Floor Types: This Turbinehead is suitable for both carpeted and hard floor surfaces. The brush bar is designed to agitate carpet fibers for deep cleaning and gently sweep debris on hard floors.
- Maneuverability: The articulating joint allows the head to swivel, making it easy to navigate around furniture and into tight spaces.
- Suction Control: Refer to your Dyson vacuum's main unit for any available suction power adjustments. This replacement Turbinehead operates at a fixed power level, optimized for general cleaning tasks.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Turbinehead. It is recommended to inspect and clean the brush bar periodically.
- Removing the Brush Bar: Locate the coin slot on the side of the Turbinehead. Use a coin to twist the end cap counter-clockwise to unlock it. Gently slide the brush bar out of the housing.
- Cleaning the Brush Bar: Remove any tangled hair, threads, or debris from the brush bar. A small cleaning tool (if provided with your vacuum or a similar tool) can be used to cut and remove stubborn tangles. The brush bar can be rinsed under cold tap water. Ensure it is completely dry before reinserting.
- Reinstalling the Brush Bar: Slide the clean, dry brush bar back into the Turbinehead housing. Align the end cap and twist it clockwise with a coin until it locks securely.
Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your Turbinehead, consider the following common points:
- Reduced Brush Bar Rotation/Power: If the brush bar seems to slow down or struggle, especially on thicker carpets, it might be due to a power difference compared to some original Dyson heads. This OEM replacement operates at a standard power level. Ensure the brush bar is free from obstructions and clean.
- Wheel Issues: The small plastic wheels on vacuum heads can be a point of wear. While this is a genuine OEM part designed for durability, inspect the wheels periodically for damage or excessive wear.
- No Suction Adjustment: This Turbinehead does not feature a manual suction adjustment slider. Suction control is managed via the main vacuum unit.
