Operating Instructions
The device offers three primary operations: Buffing, Repairing, and Cleaning. Follow the steps below for each process.
Important Notes Before Operation:
- Do not press the power button when no disc is placed inside the unit.
- The fluid color may change over time, but this does not affect the repairing performance.
- Always shake fluid bottles well before use to ensure the solution is properly mixed.
- The entire set of pads and fluids is designed for approximately 50 uses.
1. Buffing (for reconditioning discs)
Buffing is the first step in the reconditioning process for discs with minor imperfections.
- Open the cover plate of the device.
- Place the pink buffing pads onto the left and right mounting shafts inside the unit.
- Carefully insert the disc into the device.
- Press the power button to start the buffing cycle. The process will automatically stop after approximately 2 to 3 minutes.
- Once the cycle is complete, open the cover plate and retrieve the disc. Proceed to the Repairing step.
2. Repairing (for reconditioning discs)
Repairing is the second step for reconditioning, targeting surface scratches.
- Place the yellow repair pads onto the left and right mounting shafts.
- Apply approximately two drops of the repair fluid (from the 10cc cylindrical bottle) onto the right-side yellow pad.
- Insert the disc into the device.
- Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to initiate the smooth repair process. The device will stop automatically once complete.
- Retrieve the disc. For discs with deep scratches, repeat the Buffing and Repairing steps until desired results are achieved.
3. Cleaning (for regular maintenance or final step of reconditioning)
Cleaning removes smudges, fingerprints, oil, and dirt from discs.
- Place the blue cleaning pads onto the left and right mounting shafts.
- Apply approximately two drops of the disc cleaning fluid (from the 20cc rectangular bottle) onto the right-side blue pad.
- Insert the disc into the device.

- Retrieve the disc.
Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and effectiveness of your ProcareSelect Disc Cleaning and Repairing Kit PRO.
- Pad Cleaning: After each use, it is recommended to brush off any accumulated dust or residue from the pink buffing pads. Use the provided mini brush and brush in a parallel stroke motion to the groove repeatedly to cleanly remove dust. This prevents dust buildup from affecting buffing performance.
- Fluid Storage: Store the cleaning and repairing fluids in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Ensure bottle caps are tightly sealed after use.
- Device Cleaning: Periodically wipe the exterior of the device with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
Troubleshooting and Important Notes
This section addresses common questions and important considerations regarding disc repair.
- This unit is designed to return a damaged disc to a readable and writable condition. However, it will not erase any physical scars or deep scratches that are present on the disc surface.
- During the repairing process, it is normal for circular marks to appear on the disc. These marks are a result of the resurfacing process and do not indicate damage to the disc.
- If a disc is faulty due to its original production or manufacturing defects, this unit will not be able to repair it.
- The device cannot repair discs where the scratch has penetrated into the inner foil layer of the disc. Such damage is typically irreparable.
- If the device does not start, ensure the power adapter is securely plugged into both the device and a working electrical outlet.
