2. Safety Instructions

Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury.

3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all packaging materials, including the base packaging and any internal packing foam or tape. Retain packaging for future transport if needed.

3.2 Location

Place the washing machine on a firm, level surface to minimize vibration and noise during operation. Avoid direct sunlight, high humidity, or extreme temperatures. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

3.3 Water Supply Connection

  1. Connect the cold water inlet hose to the water tap and the corresponding inlet valve on the back of the washing machine.
  2. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
  3. Open the water tap fully.

3.4 Drain Hose Installation

Position the drain hose into a standpipe or laundry tub. Ensure the hose is securely fixed and its end is between 80 cm and 100 cm from the floor to ensure proper drainage and prevent siphoning.

3.5 Power Connection

Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. Verify that the power supply matches the voltage requirements specified on the appliance's rating label.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Control Panel Overview

The control panel features various buttons and a digital display for selecting wash programs and settings. Refer to Figure 1 for a visual reference of the control panel layout.

4.2 Loading Laundry

Open the lid and place laundry loosely into the tub. Do not overload the machine; ensure there is enough space for clothes to move freely during washing. Distribute items evenly to prevent imbalance.

4.3 Adding Detergent and Softener

Add the appropriate amount of detergent to the detergent dispenser. If using fabric softener, pour it into the designated softener compartment. Do not exceed the maximum fill lines.

4.4 Selecting a Wash Program

  1. Press the Power button to turn on the machine.
  2. Select the desired wash program using the program selection buttons. Common programs include:
    • Standard: For daily cotton and mixed fabrics.
    • Delicate: For fragile items requiring gentle washing.
    • Quick: For lightly soiled items or small loads.
    • Blanket: For larger, heavier items like blankets.
  3. Adjust additional settings such as water level, rinse cycles, or spin speed if necessary.

4.5 Starting the Wash Cycle

Close the lid securely. Press the Start/Pause button to begin the wash cycle. The machine will automatically proceed through the selected program.

4.6 Drying Function (Air Dry)

This model includes an air dry function to help reduce drying time. After the wash and spin cycle, select the air dry option (if available on the control panel) to circulate air and remove excess moisture from clothes. This is not a full dryer function but assists in faster air drying.

5. Maintenance and Care

5.1 Cleaning the Tub

Regularly clean the washing machine tub to prevent mold and odors. Use a washing machine cleaner or a mixture of vinegar and baking soda. Run a tub clean cycle or a hot wash cycle without laundry.

5.2 Cleaning the Detergent Dispenser

Remove the detergent dispenser drawer and rinse it under warm water to remove any residue. Clean the dispenser housing with a brush if necessary.

5.3 Cleaning the Lint Filter

Locate the lint filter (usually inside the tub or near the top rim). Remove it, clean out any accumulated lint and debris, and reinsert it securely. Clean the filter after every few washes.

5.4 Exterior Cleaning

Wipe the exterior surfaces of the washing machine with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.

5.5 Winterization (for cold climates)

If the machine is in an area prone to freezing, drain all water from the hoses and pump to prevent damage. Disconnect water inlet hoses and run a short spin cycle to remove residual water.
