3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking and Placement

  1. Carefully remove the speaker and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Place the speaker on a stable, flat surface. The NDS-1053 is designed for floor standing use.
  3. Ensure adequate ventilation around the speaker.

3.2 Charging the Speaker

The speaker includes a built-in rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery. Before first use, fully charge the speaker for optimal battery life.

  1. Connect the UL Power Adapter to the DC IN port on the speaker.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a standard wall outlet.
  3. The charging indicator light will illuminate. It will typically turn off or change color once charging is complete.
  4. A full charge provides approximately 2.5 hours of playback time.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

Press and hold the Power button on the control panel or remote control to turn the speaker ON or OFF.

4.2 Bluetooth Connection

  1. Turn on the speaker. It will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a flashing LED.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your compatible device (smartphone, tablet, laptop).
  3. Search for "NAXA NDS-1053" in your device's Bluetooth settings and select it to pair.
  4. Once paired, the speaker will emit a confirmation tone, and the LED will stop flashing.

True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Pairing

To connect two NDS-1053 speakers for a stereo sound experience:

  1. Ensure both NDS-1053 speakers are powered on and in Bluetooth mode, but not yet connected to any device.
  2. On one speaker (this will be the primary speaker), press and hold the TWS button. The speaker will search for another NDS-1053.
  3. Once connected, both speakers will confirm the TWS pairing.
  4. Now, connect your Bluetooth device to the primary speaker as described above. Audio will play through both speakers in stereo.
  5. TWS connection works up to 33 feet between speakers.

4.3 FM Radio Operation

  1. Press the 'MODE' button to switch to FM Radio mode.
  2. Press the 'PLAY/PAUSE' button to automatically scan and save available FM stations.
  3. Use the 'PREV' and 'NEXT' buttons to navigate between saved stations.

4.4 USB/MicroSD Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive or MicroSD card into the respective port.
  2. The speaker will automatically switch to USB/MicroSD mode and begin playing audio files.
  3. Use the 'PLAY/PAUSE', 'PREV', and 'NEXT' buttons to control playback.

4.5 AUX Input

  1. Connect one end of the included Aux-in Cable to the AUX IN port on the speaker.
  2. Connect the other end to the audio output jack of an external device (e.g., MP3 player, CD player).
  3. Press the 'MODE' button to select AUX mode.
  4. Control playback and volume from your external device.

4.6 Microphone Use

  1. Connect the wired microphone to one of the MIC IN ports on the speaker.
  2. Adjust the microphone volume using the dedicated MIC VOL knob on the control panel.
  3. The speaker supports two microphone inputs for simultaneous use.
