Setup Instructions

1. Unpack the Mattress Pad: Carefully remove the heated mattress pad and controller from its packaging.
2. Position the Pad: Place the heated mattress pad directly on your mattress, ensuring it lies flat without any wrinkles or folds. The deep pocket design (15 inches) and 360° elastic skirt will help secure it to most mattresses.
3. Connect the Controller: Locate the connector on the mattress pad. Plug the controller cord firmly into this connector. Ensure a secure connection.
4. Plug into Power: Plug the power cord from the controller into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet. Ensure the cord is not pinched or routed under the mattress in a way that could damage it.
5. Cover with Sheet: Cover the heated mattress pad with a fitted sheet. This helps protect the pad and distributes heat evenly.

Using the Mattress Pad

1. Turn On: Press the power button on the controller. The LCD screen will illuminate, and the pad will begin to heat.
2. Adjust Heat: Use the '+' or '-' buttons to select your desired heat level (1-10). Start with a lower setting and increase as needed for comfort.
3. Set Timer: Press the timer button to set the auto shut-off duration (1-12 hours). If no timer is set, the pad will typically default to a standard auto shut-off time (refer to specific product details, usually 10 hours).
4. Pre-Heat Function: The mattress pad features a pre-heat program. It can reach 126°F in approximately 20 minutes at a room temperature of 68°F.
5. Memory Setting: The controller remembers your last heat and timer settings for convenience.
6. Turning Off: Press the power button to turn off the mattress pad. It will also automatically shut off after the set timer duration.

Note: Full size mattress pads come with a single controller. Queen, King, and Cal. King sizes feature dual controls for individual comfort zones.

Maintenance and Care

Washing Instructions

The Sealy Heated Mattress Pad is machine washable for easy care. Follow these steps:

1. Disconnect: Ensure the mattress pad is unplugged from the wall outlet and the controller is disconnected from the pad.
2. Pre-Soak (Optional): For best results, pre-soak the pad for 15 minutes in cool water with a small amount of mild detergent.
3. Machine Wash: Wash on a gentle or delicate cycle in cool water (maximum 86°F / 30°C). Do not use bleach.
4. Rinse: Rinse on a normal cycle.
5. Machine Dry: Tumble dry on low heat for 5-10 minutes to remove excess water. Then, hang to air dry completely. Ensure the pad is completely dry before reconnecting to power.
6. Do Not Dry Clean: Dry cleaning solvents can damage the heating elements.
7. Do Not Iron: Ironing can damage the heating elements and fabric.
