Front Panel

  • Display: 2.8" Color Display for station information, menus, and time.

  • DC IN: Power input port.
  • LINE OUT: Audio output for connecting to external amplifiers or speakers.
  • AUX IN: Audio input for connecting external audio devices.
  • FM Antenna: Extendable antenna for FM radio reception.

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Power Connection: Connect the provided power adapter to the DC IN port on the rear of the radio, then plug the adapter into a wall outlet. Ensure the main power switch on the rear is in the 'ON' position.
  3. Initial Power On: Press the Power button on the front panel to turn on the radio.
  4. Language Selection: Upon first use, the radio will prompt you to select your preferred language. Use the Navigate knob to scroll and press Enter to confirm.
  5. Network Connection (Wi-Fi):
    • The radio will automatically scan for available Wi-Fi networks.
    • Select your network from the list using the Navigate knob and press Enter.
    • Enter your Wi-Fi password using the on-screen keyboard. Use the Navigate knob to select characters and press Enter to confirm each character. Select 'OK' or 'Connect' when done.
    • Once connected, the Wi-Fi icon will appear on the display.
  6. FM Antenna: For optimal FM reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna located on the rear of the unit.

Operating Instructions

Internet Radio

Access thousands of internet radio stations worldwide.

  1. Press the 'Mode' button until 'Internet Radio' is selected.
  2. Use the Navigate knob to browse categories (e.g., Location, Genre, Popular Stations).
  3. Press Enter to select a category, then navigate to your desired station and press Enter to start playback.
  4. To add a station to your favorites, press the 'Heart' button.

FM Radio

Tune into local FM broadcasts.

  1. Press the 'Mode' button until 'FM Radio' is selected.
  2. Use the Navigate knob to manually tune frequencies, or press and hold the Navigate knob for auto-scan to find the next available station.
  3. To perform an auto-scan and save all found stations, go to the FM menu and select 'Auto Scan'.

Bluetooth Connectivity

Stream audio wirelessly from your Bluetooth-enabled devices.

  1. Press the 'Mode' button until 'Bluetooth' is selected. The radio will enter pairing mode.
  2. On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for 'WR-800'.
  3. Select 'WR-800' to pair. Once connected, you can play audio from your device through the radio.

Micro SD Card Playback

Play audio files directly from a Micro SD card.

  1. Insert a Micro SD card (up to 32GB, FAT32 format) into the Micro SD/TF card slot on the front panel.
  2. Press the 'Mode' button until 'Micro SD' is selected.
  3. Use the Navigate knob to browse folders and files on the card. Press Enter to select and play.

Presets

Save and quickly access your favorite stations.

  • Saving a Preset: While listening to a station, press and hold one of the numbered Preset buttons (1-3) until 'Preset Saved' appears on the display.
  • Recalling a Preset: Briefly press the corresponding numbered Preset button (1-3) to tune to the saved station.
  • The radio supports up to 99 presets for Internet Radio, accessible through the 'My Favourite' menu.

Alarm and Sleep Timer

Utilize the built-in alarm and sleep timer functions.

  • Alarm: Access 'Alarm Setup' in the main menu to configure up to two alarms. Set time, source (Internet Radio, FM, Buzzer), volume, and recurrence.
  • Sleep Timer: Access 'Sleep Timer' in the main menu to set a countdown (e.g., 15, 30, 60 minutes) after which the radio will automatically turn off.

Display Settings

Customize the display to your preference.

  • Backlight: Adjust backlight brightness in 'Configuration > Backlight'. You can set a dim level for standby and an active level. The backlight can be set to totally off.
  • Language: Change the menu language in 'Configuration > Language'.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the radio. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the radio is placed in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating. Do not block ventilation openings.
  • Environment: Keep the radio away from direct sunlight, heat sources, excessive dust, moisture, and strong magnetic fields.
  • Power: Disconnect the power adapter from the wall outlet if the radio will not be used for an extended period.

Troubleshooting

Cannot connect to Wi-Fi

Internet radio buffering or cutting out
  • Weak Wi-Fi signal: Move radio closer to router or reduce interference.
  • Internet connection issues: Check your home internet service.
  • Station server issues: The station might be temporarily offline or experiencing high traffic.
Poor FM reception
  • Fully extend the FM antenna.
  • Adjust the position of the antenna and the radio.
  • Check for local interference from other electronic devices.
Bluetooth pairing issues
  • Ensure the radio is in Bluetooth mode and discoverable.
  • Make sure your device's Bluetooth is enabled and searching.
  • Forget 'WR-800' on your device and try pairing again.
  • Ensure no other devices are currently connected to the radio via Bluetooth.
