6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
The powder-coated steel surfaces of the cabinet are designed for easy cleaning. To clean your cabinet:
- Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth.
- For stubborn marks, use a mild, non-abrasive cleaning solution.
- Dry thoroughly with a clean cloth to prevent water spots or rust.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish.
6.2 Inspection
Periodically inspect the cabinet for any signs of wear or damage:
- Check all fasteners to ensure they remain tight. Tighten if necessary.
- Inspect the doors and hinges for smooth operation.
- Verify the lock mechanism functions correctly.
- Ensure shelves are securely seated and not bending under load.
7. Troubleshooting
- Cabinet is wobbly or unstable:
Ensure the cabinet is on a level surface. Check that all assembly fasteners are securely tightened. If the floor is uneven, use shims under the cabinet's base to stabilize it. - Doors do not close properly or are misaligned:
Check the hinges for proper installation and alignment. Ensure the cabinet frame is square and not twisted. Verify that the cabinet is not overloaded or that items inside are not obstructing the doors. - Lock mechanism is stiff or not engaging:
Ensure the doors are fully closed and aligned before attempting to lock. Check for any obstructions around the locking mechanism. If the issue persists, a small amount of graphite lubricant can be applied to the keyhole. - Shelves are difficult to adjust or do not sit level:
Ensure the shelf supports are correctly inserted into the corresponding slots on both sides. Verify that the shelf itself is not bent or damaged.
