6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ZIOCOM BT5804 Bluetooth Transmitter, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the surface or internal components.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity.
  • Handling: Handle the device with care. Avoid dropping it or subjecting it to strong impacts.
  • Environment: Do not expose the device to water or other liquids. Keep it away from heat sources and open flames.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your ZIOCOM BT5804, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Audio After Successful Pairing:
If connecting via optical cable, ensure your TV's audio output format is set to PCM/Stereo. Different TVs may have varying settings for this. Check your TV's audio settings menu.
  • Audio Delay/Lag (Even with aptX Low Latency):
For aptX Low Latency (aptX-LL) to function correctly and eliminate audio delays, both the ZIOCOM BT5804 transmitter and your Bluetooth headphones/speaker must support aptX-LL. If your receiving device does not support aptX-LL, you may still experience some audio-video synchronization delay.
  • Connection Issues or Short Range:
The 30-meter range is an optimal value. Physical obstructions (walls, furniture) and wireless interference (Wi-Fi routers, other Bluetooth devices) can reduce the effective transmission distance. Try moving the transmitter and receiving device closer or away from potential interference sources.
  • Device Not Powering On:
Ensure the USB power cable is securely connected to both the transmitter and a functional 5V USB power source. The product does not include a power adapter; use a standard 5V USB adapter.
