5. Setup and First Use

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Making Coffee from Whole Beans

  1. Fill Bean Hopper: Open the lid of the bean hopper and fill it with fresh coffee beans.
  2. Fill Water Tank: Ensure the water tank is filled with fresh water.
  3. Select Coffee Strength: Use the central dial on the control panel to adjust the desired coffee strength (MIN to MAX).
  4. Select Cup Size: Place one or two cups under the coffee spouts.

  5. Start Brewing: Press the single cup () or double cup (☕☕) button to start brewing. The machine will grind the beans and dispense the coffee.

6.2. Making Coffee from Pre-ground Coffee

This function is for preparing one cup of coffee at a time.

  1. Activate Pre-ground Mode: Press the pre-ground coffee button ( with spoon icon) on the control panel. The corresponding indicator light will illuminate.
  2. Add Pre-ground Coffee: Open the lid of the pre-ground coffee funnel and add one level scoop of pre-ground coffee. Do not add more than one scoop.
  3. Place Cup: Place a cup under the coffee spouts.
  4. Start Brewing: Press the single cup () button to start brewing.

6.3. Frothing Milk (Cappuccino System)

  1. Prepare Steam Wand: Position the steam wand over the drip tray.
  2. Prepare Milk: Fill a pitcher with cold milk (preferably skim or semi-skimmed) to about one-third full.
  3. Activate Steam: Press the steam button ( with steam icon) on the control panel. Wait for the steam indicator light to become steady.
  4. Purge Steam Wand: Briefly open the steam knob to release any condensed water, then close it.
  5. Froth Milk: Immerse the steam wand into the milk. Slowly open the steam knob to release steam. Move the pitcher up and down to create foam.
  6. Stop Steaming: Close the steam knob and remove the pitcher.
  7. Clean Steam Wand: Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth and briefly open the steam knob again to clear any milk residue.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your machine.

7.1. Daily Cleaning

  • Drip Tray and Grounds Container: Empty and rinse daily.
  • Water Tank: Rinse and refill with fresh water daily.
  • Coffee Spouts: Wipe with a damp cloth.

  4. After descaling, rinse the water tank and perform several rinse cycles with fresh water.
