1. Introduction

The Owl Labs Expansion Mic is designed to extend the audio pick-up range of your Meeting Owl 3 or Meeting Owl 4+ by an additional 8 feet (2.5 meters) in the direction of the microphone. This ensures that quieter and more distant voices are clearly captured during meetings. It also features a convenient mute button for easy control during conversations. An optional mounting bracket is included for secure installation. This Expansion Mic is specifically engineered for optimal performance with the Meeting Owl 3 and Meeting Owl 4+ and is not compatible with older Meeting Owl models like the Meeting Owl Pro or original Meeting Owl.

5. Placement: Position the Expansion Mic facing away from the Meeting Owl, towards the area where participants are speaking. For optimal performance, the Expansion Mic should be placed at least 6 feet (1.8 meters) away from the Meeting Owl.
6. Mounting (Optional): If you wish to secure the Expansion Mic to your table, you have two options:
   • Adhesive Strips: Use the provided adhesive strips for a quick and secure attachment.
   • Screws: Utilize the included screws and mounting bracket for a more permanent installation.

4. Operating Instructions

• Extended Audio Range: The primary function of the Expansion Mic is to extend the audio pick-up range of your Meeting Owl 3 or 4+ from 18 feet to 26 feet in the direction of the mic. This is crucial for capturing voices from participants who are further away or speak more quietly.
• Mute Control: The button located on the top of the Expansion Mic controls the mute function. Pressing this button will mute or unmute the microphone, providing convenient control for participants located near the Expansion Mic.
