Key Features:

  • Non-Contact Voltage (NCV) Detection: Provides the easiest and safest way of checking for electrical current in a wire, outlet, switch, or lamp that has mysteriously stopped working.
  • High & Low Sensitivity: Switch sensitivity mode between “High” and “Low” based on your needs. “High” for Testing 12V-1000V, “Low” for Testing 48V-1000V.
  • Visible & Audible Alarm: The tip glows red and the beeper sounds at high frequency when high voltage is detected, while a yellow light and low frequency beep indicate low voltage.
  • Flashlight & Red Pointing Light: Built-in flashlight provides convenience when working in dark areas or during power outages. The red pointing light can be used to indicate specific points at job sites.
  • Lightweight and Compact: A pocket-sized pen with a hook allows you to carry it conveniently.

5. Setup

Battery Installation:

The VENLAB VD-200 requires 2 AAA batteries (included). Follow these steps to install them:

  1. Unscrew the battery cap at the top of the tester.
  2. Insert the two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the battery compartment.
  3. Screw the battery cap back on securely.
  4. Press the Power On/Off button to confirm the tester powers on.

6. Operating Instructions

Power On/Off:

Press the Power On/Off button to turn the tester on or off. The indicator light will illuminate when the device is active.

Non-Contact Voltage (NCV) Detection:

To detect AC voltage, simply bring the tip of the tester close to the wire, outlet, or device you wish to test. The NCV sensor will detect the electromagnetic field.
