Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your WOSTOKE DVB-T2 receiver, please refer to the following common problems and solutions.

No Picture or Sound

  • Check Power: Ensure the receiver is properly connected to the vehicle's power supply and is turned on. The power indicator light should be illuminated.
  • Check Connections: Verify that all video (HDMI/RCA) and audio cables are securely connected to both the receiver and your display unit.
  • Input Source: Confirm that your display unit is set to the correct input source (e.g., HDMI 1, AV IN) corresponding to where the receiver is connected.
  • Antenna Signal: Ensure antennas are properly connected and positioned for optimal signal reception. Perform a channel scan if you haven't recently, or if you've moved to a new area.
  • Regional Compatibility: This receiver supports DVB-T and DVB-T2 standards. Digital TV broadcasting standards vary by region. This device is primarily designed for regions utilizing DVB-T/T2, such as parts of Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania. It may not be compatible with broadcasting standards in other regions (e.g., ATSC in North America, ISDB-T in South America/Japan).

Remote Control Not Responding

  • Batteries: Replace the batteries in the remote control.
  • Line of Sight: Ensure there is a clear path between the remote control and the IR remote sensor.
  • Sensor Connection: Verify the IR remote sensor cable is securely plugged into the receiver.

Poor Signal Reception / Pixelation

  • Antenna Position: Adjust the position of the antennas. Try different orientations and locations within the vehicle to find the best signal.
  • Obstructions: Ensure no metallic objects or other obstructions are blocking the antenna's signal path.
  • Signal Strength: Check the signal strength indicator in the receiver's menu. If signal is consistently low, consider a stronger amplified antenna if not already using one.
  • Movement: Digital TV reception can be affected by vehicle movement. Optimal reception is typically achieved when stationary.

Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance will extend the life of your DVB-T2 receiver.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the receiver. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the receiver's ventilation openings are not blocked to prevent overheating.
  • Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, disconnect it from power and store it in a cool, dry place.
  • Cable Inspection: Periodically check all cables for signs of wear or damage. Replace any damaged cables immediately.
