3. Setup and Assembly
The CAPHAUS 3-Tier Wire Shelving Unit is designed for tool-free assembly, making setup quick and hassle-free. Follow these steps for proper assembly:
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and verify that all components are present according to the parts list (not provided in this manual, refer to product packaging).
- Attach Leveling Feet: Screw the adjustable leveling feet into the bottom of the four lower poles. Ensure they are securely tightened but allow for slight adjustment later.
- Assemble Lower Poles: If your unit has multiple pole sections, connect the lower pole sections to the upper pole sections by screwing them together.
- Install Plastic Clips: Determine the desired height for your bottom shelf. Snap the two-piece plastic clips around each pole at the same desired height. Ensure the arrows on the clips point upwards and that both halves of the clip are securely locked together around the pole.
- Place First Shelf: Slide the first wire shelf down over the poles, ensuring that the corners of the shelf fit snugly over the plastic clips. Gently press down on the shelf corners until it is firmly seated on the clips.
- Repeat for Remaining Shelves: Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the remaining shelves, adjusting the height of the plastic clips as desired for each shelf.
- Final Adjustment: Once all shelves are in place, gently push down on each shelf to ensure it is fully seated and stable. Adjust the leveling feet at the bottom of the unit if the shelf wobbles, rotating them until the unit is stable on your surface.

4. Operating Instructions
Using your CAPHAUS wire shelving unit is straightforward. Here are some guidelines for optimal use:
- Adjusting Shelf Height: To adjust a shelf's height, first remove any items from the shelf. Lift the shelf off the plastic clips. Separate the two halves of the plastic clips and reposition them on the poles at the new desired height. Ensure the clips are at the same height on all four poles for a level shelf. Then, place the shelf back onto the clips, pressing down firmly.
- Loading Items: Distribute items evenly across the surface of each shelf. Avoid concentrating heavy loads in one small area. Place heavier items on lower shelves to enhance the unit's stability.
- Versatile Use: This shelving unit is suitable for various environments, including living rooms, kitchens, offices, and garages, helping to organize tools, supplies, household items, and more.

5. Maintenance
Proper maintenance will ensure the longevity and continued performance of your shelving unit.
- Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. For more stubborn marks, a damp cloth with mild soap can be used, followed by drying thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that may damage the finish.
- Inspection: Periodically check all connections, especially the plastic clips and pole joints, to ensure they remain secure. Tighten any loose parts.
- Rust Prevention: While the steel is painted, prolonged exposure to moisture can lead to rust. Ensure the unit is used in a dry environment and promptly dry any spills.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your shelving unit, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Unit is Wobbly/Unstable:
- Ensure all plastic clips are securely snapped together and are at the same height on all four poles for each shelf.
- Adjust the leveling feet at the bottom of the unit. Rotate them clockwise or counter-clockwise to raise or lower each corner until the unit is stable and level on the floor.
- Verify that the floor surface is even.
- Shelf Not Sitting Level:
- Check that the plastic clips for that shelf are positioned at identical heights on all four poles. Even a slight difference can cause tilting.
- Ensure the shelf is fully seated onto all four clips.
- Difficulty Assembling Poles/Shelves:
- Ensure the plastic clips are correctly oriented with the arrows pointing upwards.
- Apply gentle, even pressure when sliding shelves onto clips. Do not force.
- If pole sections are difficult to screw together, ensure threads are aligned and free of debris.
