4. Setup

4.1. Hose Connection

The pump comes with a 1-1/4'' NPT discharge and includes a 1-1/2'' elbow adapter and a snap coupling adapter for 3/4'', 1'', or 1-1/4'' hoses. Select the appropriate adapter for your hose size. For optimal flow, use the widest possible outlet.

  1. Identify the correct adapter for your discharge hose.
  2. Thread the chosen adapter securely onto the pump's discharge port.
  3. Connect your discharge hose to the adapter. Ensure a tight connection to prevent leaks.

4.2. Placement and Electrical Connection

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Starting and Stopping the Pump

This pump operates manually. To start the pump, ensure it is fully submerged and properly connected to the discharge hose, then plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The pump will begin to operate immediately. To stop the pump, simply unplug it from the electrical outlet.

5.2. Efficient Water Drainage

The pump's low suction base is designed to efficiently drain water down to 1/5 inch from the surface. During operation, a stream of water spraying from the pump is a normal venting process. Ensure the pump remains fully immersed in water to prevent dry running and potential damage.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning
