Control Buttons:

  • P (Program): Enters program setting mode.
  • D+ (Day): Adjusts day of the week or program day.
  • H+ (Hour): Adjusts hour or program hour.
  • M+ (Minute): Adjusts minute or program minute.
  • RESET: Resets all settings to factory defaults.
  • MANUAL C/R: Manual override and lock/unlock function.
  • Clock Icon (Time): Used to set current time and switch 12/24-hour mode.

7. Installation

The AUNMAS THC15A is designed for DIN rail mounting. Follow these steps for proper installation and wiring.

7.1 DIN Rail Mounting

  1. Ensure the main power supply to the electrical panel is turned OFF.
  2. Locate an available space on the DIN rail.
  3. Align the timer switch with the DIN rail and press firmly until it clicks into place.

7.2 Wiring Diagram

Refer to the wiring diagram below for correct electrical connections. Incorrect wiring can damage the device or cause electrical hazards.

  • Terminals 1 (L) & 2 (N): Connect to the main power supply (AC/DC 12V-24V or AC 180V-264V, depending on your model).
  • Terminal 3 (NC): Normally Closed contact.
  • Terminal 4 (Common): Common contact for the switch.
  • Terminal 5 (NO): Normally Open contact.

Connect your load to the Common (4) and either Normally Open (5) or Normally Closed (3) terminal, depending on your application's requirements.

8. Initial Setup

Before first use, follow these steps to prepare your timer switch.

  1. Power Connection & Battery Charge: After installation, connect the AC power. The inbuilt battery will begin charging. Allow sufficient time for the battery to charge, especially if the device has been stored for a long period.
  2. Reset: Press the RESET button (usually a small recessed button requiring a pointed object like a pen tip) to clear all previous settings and ensure proper operation.
  3. Set Current Time:
    • Press the Clock Icon button.
    • Use D+, H+, and M+ buttons to set the current day, hour, and minute respectively.
    • Press the Clock Icon button again to save and exit time setting mode.
  4. 12/24-Hour Mode Selection:
    • The timer switch defaults to 24-hour mode.
    • To switch to 12-hour mode, press and hold the Clock Icon button for approximately 5 seconds until "AM" or "PM" appears on the display.
    • To revert to 24-hour mode, press and hold the Clock Icon button again for 5 seconds.

9. Operating Instructions

9.1 Unlocking the Keypad

The timer switch automatically locks its keypad after approximately 15 seconds of inactivity to prevent accidental changes. To unlock:

  • Press the MANUAL C/R button four times consecutively.
  • The 'lock' symbol (often an 'a' character or padlock icon) on the display will disappear, indicating the keypad is unlocked.
  • If no operation is performed for 15 seconds, the keypad will automatically re-lock.

9.2 Programming ON/OFF Cycles

The device supports up to 16 ON and 8 OFF programs. Follow these general steps to set a program:

  1. Enter Program Mode: Press the P button. The display will show "1 ON" (for the first ON program).
  2. Set Day(s) for Program 1 ON: Use the D+ button to select the desired day(s) of the week. You can choose a single day, weekdays, weekends, or all days.
  3. Set Time for Program 1 ON: Use the H+ and M+ buttons to set the desired hour and minute for the first ON event.
  4. Set Program 1 OFF: Press the P button again. The display will show "1 OFF". Repeat steps 2 and 3 to set the day(s) and time for the first OFF event.
  5. Repeat for Additional Programs: Continue pressing the P button to cycle through "2 ON", "2 OFF", up to "16 ON" and "8 OFF" programs, setting each as required.
  6. Exit Program Mode: After setting all desired programs, press the Clock Icon button to save and return to the current time display.

9.3 Manual Override

The MANUAL C/R button also allows you to manually override the current program status.

  • In normal operating mode, press MANUAL C/R once to cycle through ON, AUTO, and OFF modes.
  • ON: The output is continuously ON, ignoring programs.
  • OFF: The output is continuously OFF, ignoring programs.
  • AUTO: The timer operates according to the programmed ON/OFF cycles.

10. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery: The internal battery is designed for long life and recharges when the device is powered. If the display becomes dim or loses time frequently, the battery may need replacement by a qualified technician.
  • Inspection: Periodically check wiring connections for tightness and signs of wear.

11. Troubleshooting
