3. SuperSmooth Mode

SuperSmooth mode is designed for fast-moving scenarios. It increases the torque of the DJI RS 3 Pro motors and enhances stabilization, providing stable footage during dynamic and sustained movements. Activate this mode when shooting in challenging, high-motion environments.

4. Versatile Control and Mounting

The DJI RS 3 Pro offers extensive ports and supports the DJI RS SDK protocol, allowing connection to various accessories and integration with vehicle mounts, cranes, and steadicams for diverse creative possibilities.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

Regularly clean the gimbal with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents that could damage the electronic components or finish. Ensure no dust or debris accumulates in the motor joints or ports.

2. Storage

When not in use, store the DJI RS 3 Pro in its carrying case in a cool, dry place. Engage the automated axis locks for compact and secure storage. Avoid exposing the gimbal to extreme temperatures or humidity.

3. Battery Care

Charge the BG30 grip battery fully before long-term storage (e.g., if not used for more than three months) to maintain battery health. Recharge the battery every three months to prevent over-discharge. Do not store the battery in a fully depleted state.

Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your DJI RS 3 Pro Combo.

1. Gimbal Not Balancing Correctly

  • Check Camera Weight: Ensure your camera setup (camera, lens, and accessories) is within the recommended payload of 4.5 kg.

  • Motor Power: Adjust motor power settings in the Ronin app if the camera is particularly heavy or light.
  • Obstructions: Check for any cables, straps, or accessories that might be interfering with motor movement.

3. Connection Issues (Ronin App / Image Transmitter)

  • Bluetooth/Wi-Fi: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device for app connection, and Wi-Fi is enabled for the Image Transmitter.
  • Firmware: Update the gimbal and Image Transmitter firmware to the latest version using the Ronin app.
  • Cable Connections: Verify all control and HDMI cables are securely connected.

4. Gimbal Not Powering On

  • Battery Charge: Ensure the BG30 grip battery is fully charged.
