4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to set up your AILBTON LED Strip Lights:

  1. Prepare the Surface: Clean the desired installation surface thoroughly. Ensure it is dry, smooth, and free of dust or debris. This is crucial for the adhesive to bond effectively.
  2. Unspool the Strips: Carefully unspool the LED strip lights from their reels. Do not bend or twist the strips excessively.
  3. Plan the Route: Before removing the adhesive backing, plan the exact route for your LED strips. This helps avoid kinks and ensures optimal placement.
  4. Connect the Strips: Connect the LED strips to the control box. Ensure the arrows on the strip connector and the control box connector align correctly. Improper alignment can prevent the lights from working.
  5. Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the control box, then plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
  6. Test Before Adhering: Before peeling off the adhesive, briefly plug in the lights to test if they are working correctly. This allows you to identify any issues before permanent installation.
  7. Adhere the Strips: Once tested, peel off the 3M adhesive backing from the LED strips gradually and firmly press the strip onto the prepared surface along your planned route. For corners, use the included clips or gently bend the strip without creasing the LEDs.
  8. Secure the Control Box: Use the provided adhesive to secure the control box in a convenient and accessible location.
