1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

Please read all safety instructions carefully before installation and use. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or other hazards.

• Power Supply: This LED strip operates on DC 12V. DO NOT connect the LED strip directly to AC 110V (power socket) without an appropriate AC/DC transformer (power supply). The transformer is NOT included. Using the incorrect voltage will damage the strip and may pose a fire hazard.
• Indoor Use Only: This product is designed for indoor use and is not water resistant. Avoid exposure to moisture or outdoor elements.
• Heat Generation: While efficient, the LED strip can generate a fair amount of heat during prolonged operation. Ensure adequate ventilation and avoid covering the strip with materials that could trap heat. Do not hold the illuminated strip for extended periods.
• Installation Surface: Ensure the installation surface is clean, dry, and smooth to ensure proper adhesion and heat dissipation.
• Cutting: Only cut the LED strip at designated cut marks to avoid damaging the circuit.

3. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your MALIIGAZA COB LED Strip Light:

1. Prepare the Surface: Clean the desired installation surface thoroughly. Ensure it is dry, smooth, and free of dust or grease.
2. Measure and Cut (if necessary): Measure the length required for your installation. The COB LED strip is cuttable every 1.97 inches (50mm) at designated cut marks. Use sharp scissors to make clean cuts.
3. Apply Adhesive: The strip features strong 3M adhesive tape on its back. Carefully peel off the protective backing from the adhesive.
4. Attach the Strip: Press the LED strip firmly onto the prepared surface, ensuring even contact along its entire length. The strip is highly flexible and can be bent or folded to fit various shapes and corners.
5. Connect Power: Connect the DC female connector (included) to the LED strip. Then, connect the DC female connector to a compatible 12V DC power supply (not included). Ensure the polarity is correct.
6. Test: Plug in the power supply to a standard AC outlet to test the LED strip.

4. Operating Instructions

Once installed and powered, the MALIIGAZA COB LED Strip Light provides consistent and vibrant illumination.

• Power On/Off: The LED strip will illuminate once connected to a compatible 12V DC power supply and the power supply is plugged into an AC outlet. To turn off, simply unplug the power supply or use an inline switch if one is integrated with your power supply or controller.
• Dimmability: This COB LED strip is dimmable. To adjust brightness, you will need a compatible 12V DC dimmer (not included) installed between the power supply and the LED strip.
• Applications: The golden yellow amber color (2200K) is ideal for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. It is suitable for various indoor decoration lighting scenarios, including under-cabinet lighting in kitchens, accent lighting in bedrooms, ceiling coves, stair lighting, mirror backlighting, and car interior lighting.

  • Verify that the DC female connector is securely attached to both the LED strip and the power supply, ensuring correct polarity.
  • Ensure you are using a 12V DC power supply. Connecting directly to AC 110V/220V without a transformer will damage the strip.
  • Inspect the LED strip for any visible damage or cuts outside the designated cut marks.
• LED Strip is Dim or Flickering:
  • Ensure your power supply has sufficient wattage for the length of the LED strip. An underpowered supply can cause dimness.
  • If using a dimmer, ensure it is compatible with 12V DC LED strips and is functioning correctly.
  • Check for loose connections between the strip, connector, and power supply.
• Portion of the LED Strip is Not Lighting Up:
  • This may indicate damage to that specific section. If the strip was cut, ensure the cut was made precisely at the designated mark.
  • Check for any physical damage or severe bends in the non-illuminated section.
