3.1 Components and Controls

4. Setup
4.1 Charging the Device
The Dasqua 1804-1055 is equipped with a built-in Li-ion 3.7V rechargeable battery. Before first use, ensure the device is fully charged.

- Locate the USB charging port on the side of the device.
- Connect the provided USB cable to the device and to a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
- The OLED display will indicate charging status.
- Once fully charged, disconnect the USB cable.
A full charge provides approximately 2000 measurements.
4.2 Powering On/Off
- To Power On: Press the DIST button or the CLEAR/OFF button.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the CLEAR/OFF button for a few seconds. The device will also automatically power off after 90 seconds of inactivity to conserve battery. The laser itself turns off after 30 seconds of inactivity.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Using the Tape Measure
The integrated 5-meter tape measure functions like a standard tape measure.

- Pull the tape blade out to the desired length.
- To lock the tape in place, slide the lock button forward.
- To retract the tape, slide the lock button backward and gently guide the tape back into the housing.
5.2 Using the Laser Measure
The laser measure provides quick and accurate digital distance measurements up to 30 meters.

Single Distance Measurement
- Power on the device.
- Point the laser emission point towards the target.
- Press the DIST button once to activate the laser. A red laser dot will appear on the target.
- Press the DIST button again to take the measurement. The distance will be displayed on the OLED screen.
Continuous Measurement (Tracking)
- Power on the device.
- Press the FUNC/UNITS button until the continuous measurement icon (often a moving line or similar) appears on the display.
- Press the DIST button once to start continuous measurement. The display will update in real-time as you move the device.
- Press the DIST button again to stop continuous measurement and hold the last reading.
Changing Measurement Units
To switch between meters (m), feet (ft), and inches (in):
- Press the FUNC/UNITS button repeatedly until the desired unit is displayed.
Setting Measurement Reference Point
The device can measure from its front edge or its rear edge. This is typically indicated by an icon on the display.
- Press the +/- button to toggle between front-edge and rear-edge measurement reference.
Addition and Subtraction of Measurements
The device supports basic arithmetic operations for measurements.
- Take the first measurement using the DIST button.
- Press the +/- button once for addition (+) or twice for subtraction (-). The corresponding symbol will appear on the display.
- Take the second measurement. The result of the operation will be displayed.
- To clear the calculation, press CLEAR/OFF.
