2. Setup
2.1 Initial Charging
Your Eco-Drive watch is powered by light. For initial setup or if the watch has stopped, expose the dial to a bright light source (natural or artificial) for several hours. The second hand will begin to move at one-second intervals once sufficient power is accumulated. A full charge can last up to 6 months in darkness.

2.2 Setting the Time and Date
- Pull the crown out to position 2: The second hand will stop.
- Rotate the crown: Turn the crown to set the hour and minute hands. Ensure the AM/PM is correctly set for the date change.
- Push the crown back to position 1: The second hand will resume movement.
- To set the Day/Date: Pull the crown out to position 1. Rotate the crown to adjust the day and date. Push the crown back to the normal position when finished.
2.3 Bracelet Adjustment
The Super Titanium bracelet features a pin and collar system for link adjustment. Due to the precision required, it is recommended to have the bracelet adjusted by a qualified jeweler or Citizen service center to ensure proper fit and prevent damage.
3. Operating the Watch
3.1 Timekeeping
The watch displays hours, minutes, and seconds. The Eco-Drive movement ensures accurate timekeeping as long as it receives adequate light exposure.
3.2 Day/Date Display
The day and date are displayed in a window on the dial. The day and date automatically advance at midnight. Adjustments may be necessary for months with fewer than 31 days.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
Wipe the watch case and bracelet with a soft, dry cloth regularly to remove dirt and moisture. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
4.2 Water Resistance
This watch is water resistant to 100 meters (10 ATM). It is suitable for swimming and snorkeling, but not for scuba diving. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any water exposure. Avoid operating the crown while the watch is wet.
4.3 Charging Best Practices
To maintain optimal performance, expose your Eco-Drive watch to light regularly. Avoid prolonged storage in dark places. The watch will indicate low power by the second hand moving at two-second intervals.
5. Troubleshooting
- Watch has stopped or second hand moves irregularly: The watch may have insufficient charge. Expose it to bright light for several hours.
- Time or Date is incorrect: Refer to section 2.2 "Setting the Time and Date" to reset.
- Condensation inside the crystal: This may indicate a loss of water resistance. Contact a Citizen service center immediately.
