4. Setup and Installation

The LXR-FD30 door is designed for surface-mount installation and can be configured for left or right-hand swing.

4.1 Pre-Installation Check

  1. Ensure the rack frame is clean and free of obstructions where the door will be mounted.
  2. Confirm the rack is an LXR series model compatible with a 30U door.

4.2 Mounting Instructions

  1. Position the door against the front of the rack, aligning the mounting points with the rack's frame.
  2. Determine desired swing direction (left or right) and orient the door accordingly. The door is designed to swing open 180 degrees.
  3. Secure the door to the rack using the provided mounting hardware. Start with the top and bottom screws, then proceed with the remaining fasteners.
  4. Ensure all screws are tightened securely, but do not overtighten.
  5. Test the door's swing and latching mechanism to ensure smooth operation.

5. Operating the Door

5.1 Locking and Unlocking

  • To lock the door, ensure it is fully closed. Insert one of the provided keys into the integral recessed handle and turn it clockwise until the lock engages. Remove the key.
  • To unlock the door, insert the key and turn it counter-clockwise until the lock disengages. The door can then be opened.

5.2 Opening and Closing

  • Once unlocked, gently pull the door open using the recessed handle. The door swings open 180 degrees for full access to the rack interior.
  • To close, push the door gently until it latches securely.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and proper functioning of your LXR-FD30 door.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the door surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
