1. Introduction

The Zstar Nugget Ice Maker is a stainless steel countertop ice machine designed to produce crunchy, chewable nugget ice. With a high output capacity and convenient features like self-cleaning and smart indicators, it's perfect for home, office, or bar use.

3. Setup & First Use

Initial Preparation:

1. Unpack the ice maker and all accessories from the box.
2. Place the unit on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
3. Before first use, it is recommended to clean the unit. Refer to the 'Cleaning & Maintenance' section for instructions.

Filling Water:

1. Open the top lid of the ice maker.
2. Remove the ice basket.
3. Pour clean, potable water into the water reservoir up to the 'MAX' fill line. Do not overfill.
4. Replace the ice basket and close the lid.

4. Operation

Making Ice:

1. After filling the water reservoir, plug the ice maker into a grounded electrical outlet.
2. Press the 'ICE/CLEAN' button once to start the ice-making cycle. The 'ICE' indicator will light up.
3. The first batch of nugget ice will be ready in approximately 10-15 minutes.
4. The ice maker will continue to produce ice until the ice basket is full or the water reservoir is empty.

Smart Indicators:

The LCD screen provides visual cues for the ice maker's status:

• Water Shortage Indicator: A symbol will flash on the LCD screen when the water level is insufficient. Refill the reservoir to continue ice production.
• Ice Full Indicator: A symbol will flash on the LCD screen when the ice basket is full. Remove ice to resume production. The machine will automatically stop when the basket is full to save energy and prevent overflow.

Using the Timer:

The 24-hour timer allows you to schedule when the ice maker starts or stops producing ice.

1. Press the 'TIMER' button.
2. Use the Up (^) and Down (v) arrows to set the desired time in hours.
3. The machine will automatically start or stop at the set time.

5. Cleaning & Maintenance

Self-Cleaning Function:

The Zstar Nugget Ice Maker features an automatic self-cleaning function to ensure hygiene.

1. Ensure the water reservoir is filled with clean water.
2. Press and hold the 'ICE/CLEAN' button for 3 seconds to activate the self-cleaning cycle.
3. The cleaning cycle will run automatically. Once complete, drain the water.

Draining Water:

To drain water from the unit, locate the drain plug at the bottom of the ice maker. Remove the plug to allow water to flow out. Replace the plug securely after draining.
