What's in the Box

Setup

  1. Attach Shock Mount: Securely attach the microphone to the provided shock mount. The shock mount helps to isolate the microphone from vibrations and handling noise.
  2. Mount to Device: Slide the shock mount's cold shoe adapter onto your camera's hot shoe or a compatible mounting bracket. Tighten the locking wheel to secure the microphone.
  3. Connect Audio Cable:
    • For DSLR/Camcorder: Use the 3.5mm TRS to TRS cable. Plug one end into the microphone's 3.5mm output and the other into your camera's microphone input.
    • For Smartphone/Laptop: Use the 3.5mm TRS to TRRS cable. Plug one end into the microphone's 3.5mm output and the other into your device's headphone/microphone jack. (Note: Some newer smartphones may require an additional adapter, not included).
  4. Attach Windscreen: For indoor use, attach the foam windscreen. For outdoor use or windy conditions, use the furry windscreen (dead cat) to minimize wind noise.
  5. Power On: Slide the power switch on the microphone to the "ON" position. The indicator light will illuminate.
