1. Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your ARENA Cobra Ultra Racing Swim Goggles. Designed for competitive swimmers, these goggles feature a low-profile design, high-tech molding, and a blade shape to minimize drag. The curved lenses offer an expanded field of view, and the hard polycarbonate lenses include an anti-fog coating for clear vision.

2. Setup and Adjustment
Achieving a secure and comfortable fit is crucial for optimal performance and to prevent water leakage. The Cobra Ultra goggles come with adjustable components to suit various face shapes.
2.1 Nose Bridge Adjustment
Your goggles include 5 interchangeable nose bridges of varying sizes. Select the nose bridge that provides the most comfortable and secure fit across your nose, ensuring the goggle lenses sit flush against your eye sockets without excessive pressure.
- Gently detach the currently installed nose bridge by pulling it away from the lens frames.
- Select a new nose bridge size.
- Align the new nose bridge with the slots on the goggle frames and push firmly until it clicks securely into place.
- Test the fit by placing the goggles on your face without the strap. They should create a light suction and stay in place briefly.
2.2 Strap Adjustment
The goggles are equipped with a dual silicone strap and an ARENA RFA back clip for a secure fit.
- Place the goggles on your face.
- Pull the dual silicone strap over your head, positioning the RFA back clip at the back of your head.
- Adjust the strap tension by pulling the ends of the strap through the RFA clip. Tighten until the goggles feel secure but not uncomfortably tight. Excessive tightness can cause discomfort and leave marks.
- Ensure the strap is positioned correctly, typically slightly above your ears, to prevent slipping during activity.
3. Operating Instructions
To use your ARENA Cobra Ultra Racing Swim Goggles:
- Preparation: Before each use, lightly moisten the inside of the lenses with water. This helps activate the anti-fog coating. Do not rub the inside of the lenses.
- Wearing: Hold the goggles by the lenses and place them firmly over your eyes. Pull the strap over your head and adjust for a snug fit as described in Section 2.2.
- Removal: To remove, slide the goggles upwards from your face, lifting the strap over your head. Avoid pulling them directly away from your face to prevent discomfort.
4. Maintenance
Proper care extends the life and performance of your goggles.
- Rinsing: After each use, rinse your goggles thoroughly with clean, fresh water. This removes chlorine, salt, and other chemicals that can degrade materials and coatings.
- Drying: Allow the goggles to air dry completely in a cool, shaded area. Do not wipe the inside of the lenses, as this can damage the anti-fog coating.
- Storage: Store your goggles in a protective pouch or case to prevent scratches and damage to the lenses and frame. Avoid exposing them to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures for extended periods.
- Anti-Fog Coating: The anti-fog coating is delicate. Avoid touching or rubbing the inside of the lenses. If the anti-fog effect diminishes over time, specialized anti-fog sprays designed for swim goggles can be used, following their specific instructions.
5. Troubleshooting
Common issues and their solutions:
- Goggles are leaking:
- Check Nose Bridge: Ensure the nose bridge is correctly sized and securely attached. Try a different size if necessary.
- Adjust Strap Tension: Tighten the strap slightly. The goggles should feel snug but not overly tight.
- Reposition Goggles: Ensure the goggle cups are properly seated around your eye sockets, creating a gentle suction.
- Lenses are fogging:
- Rinse Lenses: Before use, lightly rinse the inside of the lenses with water.
- Avoid Touching: Do not touch or rub the inside of the lenses.
- Anti-Fog Spray: If the factory anti-fog coating has worn off, apply a swim goggle-specific anti-fog solution.
- Goggles are uncomfortable or leaving marks:
- Loosen Strap: The strap may be too tight. Loosen it gradually until comfortable.
- Adjust Nose Bridge: The nose bridge might be too narrow or wide. Try a different size.
- Reposition: Ensure the goggles are not pressing unevenly on your face.
