Setup
1. Battery Installation/Activation
The device typically comes with a CR2032 battery either pre-installed or included. If pre-installed, there might be a plastic pull-tab to remove to activate the battery. If not, open the device casing (usually by gently prying it open with a small tool or fingernail at a designated notch) and insert the CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
Once the battery is correctly installed, the device may emit a short beep or an LED light may flash, indicating it is powered on.
2. App Download and Installation
To use the anti-lost device, you need to download the companion application on your smartphone. Search for "iSearching" or "FindElfi" (or similar, check product packaging for exact app name) in your device's app store (Google Play Store for Android or Apple App Store for iOS). Download and install the application.
3. Device Pairing
- Ensure your smartphone's Bluetooth is turned on.
- Open the installed anti-lost app.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. This usually involves pressing and holding the button on the anti-lost device until it beeps or flashes rapidly, indicating it's in pairing mode.
- Select the device from the list of available Bluetooth devices in the app.
- Once paired, the app will confirm the connection, and the device may beep or flash differently.
You can now attach the anti-lost device to items you wish to track, such as keys, wallets, or bags.
Operating Instructions
1. Finding Your Item (Using Phone to Find Device)
If you've misplaced an item with the anti-lost device attached:
- Open the anti-lost app on your smartphone.
- Select the paired device from the list.
- Tap the "Ring" or "Find" button within the app. The anti-lost device will emit an audible alarm, helping you locate it.
2. Finding Your Phone (Using Device to Find Phone)
If you've misplaced your smartphone:
- Double-press the button on the anti-lost device.
- Your smartphone will ring (even if on silent mode, depending on app settings), helping you locate it.
3. Anti-Lost Alarm (Out of Range Alert)
When the anti-lost device and your smartphone move beyond the effective Bluetooth range (typically 10-20 meters indoors, up to 50 meters outdoors, depending on environment), both the device and your phone will emit an alarm to notify you of the separation. This feature helps prevent items from being left behind or lost.
You can usually customize this alert behavior within the app settings.
4. Location Tracking
The app records the last known location of the anti-lost device before it disconnected from your phone. This allows you to see on a map where your item was last detected, aiding in recovery.
5. Remote Shutter Function
Some anti-lost devices can also function as a remote shutter for your smartphone camera. To use this feature:
- Open your smartphone's camera app.
- Press the button on the anti-lost device once to trigger the camera shutter.
Maintenance
1. Battery Replacement
