2. Setup
Battery Installation
- Unscrew the head of the flashlight counter-clockwise to open the battery compartment.
- Insert two CR123A lithium batteries with the positive (+) end facing towards the flashlight head.
- Screw the flashlight head back on clockwise until it is finger-tight.

Mounting the Flashlight
- Identify the appropriate key for your firearm's rail type (Glock-style, Picatinny, Beretta 90two, S&W 99, S&W TSW, Sig P320). The TLR-1 HL comes with a key kit to ensure proper fit.
- Loosen the rail clamp thumb screw on the flashlight.
- Align the flashlight's rail clamp with your firearm's accessory rail.
- Press the flashlight firmly onto the rail, ensuring the key engages with the rail slot.
- Tighten the thumb screw until the flashlight is securely attached and does not wobble.

3. Operating Instructions
Switch Operation
The TLR-1 HL features an ambidextrous momentary/steady on/off switch located at the rear of the unit.
- Momentary On: Press and hold either side of the toggle switch. The light will remain on as long as the switch is held. Release to turn off.
- Continuous On: Quickly tap either side of the toggle switch and release. The light will remain on until you toggle the switch again.
- Off: From continuous on, quickly tap either side of the toggle switch.
Strobe Function
The TLR-1 HL includes a user-programmable strobe function. This feature can be enabled or disabled based on user preference.
- To Activate Strobe (if enabled): From the OFF position, rapidly double-tap either side of the toggle switch.
