1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your SinoTrack Digital GPS Speedometer Universal Heads Up Display (HUD). Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product to ensure proper function and safety.
2. Safety Information
- Power Supply: The working voltage of this speedometer is 5V. It is strictly forbidden to use a voltage higher than 5V as the power supply, as this can damage the device.
- Charging: Do not use high voltage or fast charging adapters to power the product. This can negatively affect the product's lifespan and normal operation.
- Placement: Ensure the device is securely placed on your dashboard and does not obstruct your view of the road or any critical vehicle controls.
- Temperature: Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures for prolonged periods, especially direct sunlight in hot climates, as this may cause screen fading or dullness over time.
- Driving Safety: Always prioritize driving safety. Do not attempt to adjust settings or interact with the device in a way that distracts you from driving.

4. Setup and Installation
The SinoTrack HUD offers non-destructive, plug-and-play installation.
- Placement: Choose a suitable flat surface on your dashboard where the HUD will not obstruct your view or interfere with airbags. The non-slip mat can be used to secure the device.
- Power Connection: Plug the Micro USB cable into the Micro USB port on the back of the HUD unit.
- Vehicle Power: Connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB power source in your vehicle, such as a cigarette lighter adapter with a USB port or a built-in USB port.

- Power On: The device will automatically power on when it receives power from the vehicle and power off when the vehicle is turned off (if the USB port is ignition-switched).
- GPS Signal Acquisition: Upon first use, the device may take a few minutes to acquire GPS satellite signals. Ensure the device has a clear view of the sky for optimal signal reception.

7. Troubleshooting
| Problem |
Possible Cause |
Solution |
| Device does not power on. |
No power from USB port; faulty cable; incorrect voltage. |
Check USB connection and power source. Ensure 5V power supply. Try a different USB port or cable. |
| No GPS signal / Speed not displayed. |
Obstructed view of sky; initial signal acquisition; driving in tunnels/garages. |
Move to an open area with clear sky view. Allow a few minutes for signal acquisition. GPS signal may be temporarily lost in certain environments. |
| Speed reading is inaccurate. |
Calibration needed. |
Refer to the detailed settings in the user manual (not covered in this summary) for speed calibration. Some minor discrepancies with vehicle's odometer are normal. |
| Display is too dim or too bright. |
Automatic brightness sensor blocked; manual setting needed. |
Ensure the photosensitive element (small hole on the back) is not blocked. Adjust brightness manually as described in section 5.3. |
| Trip distance resets after power off. |
Normal operation. |
This is an intended feature. The device relies on continuous power to track trip distance and does not accumulate total distance when powered off. |
