4. Setup Instructions

4.1 Initial Preparation

  1. Carefully unpack all components from the box.
  2. Remove any protective films from the screen surface. For optimal image quality and touch response, remove both screen protector films, or at least the top one.

4.2 Connecting to Raspberry Pi (Example: Raspberry Pi 4 Model B)

The monitor is designed for easy integration with Raspberry Pi boards. The installation kit provides specific cables for this purpose.

  1. Mounting the Raspberry Pi: You can mount your Raspberry Pi directly to the back of the monitor. This allows for a compact setup and hidden cable management.
  2. Power Connection:
    • Connect the 3-Pin GPIO Cable from the monitor to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Raspberry Pi to power the screen directly from the Pi.
    • Alternatively, use one of the provided Micro USB cables and the 5V/3A power adapter to power the monitor independently.
  3. Video Signal: Connect the HDMI Ribbon Cable from the monitor to the HDMI port on your Raspberry Pi. Ensure the black side of the ribbon cable is facing up.
  4. Touch Functionality: Connect the Tiny USB A Cable from the monitor to a USB port on your Raspberry Pi. This cable provides both power and touch connectivity.
