5. Setup and Installation

Installation of the head unit requires technical knowledge and should ideally be performed by a qualified professional. Incorrect installation can damage the unit or your vehicle's electrical system. Refer to your vehicle's service manual for specific dashboard disassembly instructions.

5.1. Pre-Installation Checks

  1. Ensure the vehicle's ignition is off and the battery's negative terminal is disconnected to prevent electrical shorts.
  2. Verify all package contents are present and undamaged.

5.2. Wiring Connections

Connect the provided wiring harnesses to the head unit and your vehicle's existing wiring. Pay close attention to the following connections:

6.1. Basic Controls

  • Power Button (PWR): Press to turn the unit on/off. Rotate for volume control.
  • Mute Button: Mutes/unmutes audio output.
  • Home Button: Returns to the main menu or home screen.
  • Back Button: Navigates back to the previous screen or menu.
  • Navigation (NAV) Button: Launches the navigation application.
  • Bluetooth (BT) Button: Accesses Bluetooth settings and functions.
  • Radio Button: Switches to the radio tuner.
