Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the pump and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
  2. Add Engine Oil: Before first use, fill the engine with the provided oil. Locate the oil filler cap/dipstick. Ensure the pump is on a level surface.   3. Connect Hoses:

  4. Positioning: Place the pump on a firm, level surface. Ensure the suction hose is submerged in the water source and the discharge hose is directed to the desired location. Keep the pump as close to the water source as possible to maximize suction efficiency.
  5. Add Fuel: Fill the fuel tank with unleaded gasoline. Do not use mixed fuel. Ensure the fuel cap is securely tightened after filling.

Operating Instructions

  1. Priming the Pump: Remove the priming cap located on top of the pump casing. Fill the pump casing completely with clean water until it overflows. Replace the priming cap securely. This step is crucial for self-priming pumps to operate correctly.
  2. Starting the Engine:
    • Turn the engine switch to the "ON" position.
    • Open the fuel valve.
    • Move the choke lever to the "CLOSED" or "START" position (if the engine is cold).
    • Pull the recoil starter handle slowly until resistance is felt, then pull firmly and quickly. Repeat if necessary.
    • Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke lever to the "OPEN" or "RUN" position.
  3. Running the Pump: Allow the engine to warm up for a few minutes. The pump will begin to draw water. Monitor the water flow and ensure there are no leaks. Adjust the engine speed if necessary (if equipped with a throttle control).
  4. Stopping the Engine:
    • Close the fuel valve.
