1. Product Overview

The Range Tour D30 Dash Cam is a high-definition dual car camera system designed to record both the front view and the interior of your vehicle. It features 4K (2160P) front recording, 2K+2K dual channel recording, and a 170° wide-angle lens to capture a broad field of view. Integrated WiFi and GPS functionalities enhance its capabilities, allowing for easy footage management and precise location tracking. Advanced features like Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), Night Vision, Loop Recording, G-Sensor, and 24-hour Parking Monitoring ensure comprehensive surveillance and reliable performance.

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Installing the Memory Card

Before first use, insert a compatible TF (microSD) card (up to 256GB, Class 10 or higher recommended) into the dash cam's memory card slot. Ensure the card is inserted correctly until it clicks into place.

3.2 Mounting the Dash Cam

  1. Clean the windshield area where you intend to mount the dash cam.
  2. Attach the suction mount to the dash cam unit.
  3. Press the suction cup firmly against the cleaned windshield and engage the locking mechanism to secure it.
  4. Adjust the camera angle to ensure a clear view of the road ahead and the vehicle's interior. The front and rear cameras can be flipped 180 degrees, and the left and right can be flipped 30 degrees for optimal positioning.

3.3 Power Connection

Connect the included car charger to the dash cam's 5V IN port and plug the other end into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. The dash cam will typically power on automatically when the vehicle's ignition is turned on.

3.4 Initial Setup and Formatting

Upon first power-on, the dash cam may prompt you to format the memory card. It is highly recommended to format the card within the dash cam to ensure compatibility and optimal performance. Follow the on-screen instructions.

4.1 Recording Modes

The D30 Dash Cam supports various recording modes:

4.2 Parking Monitoring

The dash cam offers two methods for 24-hour parking monitoring (requires a hardwire kit, not included in the standard package):

  1. Collision Detection: If a collision or crash occurs while parked, the dash cam will automatically turn on and record a 1-minute video, then power off.
  2. Time-Lapse Recording: This function allows continuous recording with extremely low power consumption while the engine is off, capturing events over extended periods.

4.3 WiFi and App Connectivity

The built-in WiFi allows you to connect your smartphone to the dash cam via the "TimaCam" app. This enables:

4.5 Video Quality and Wide Angle

The D30 offers flexible recording resolutions:

The 170° wide-angle lens minimizes blind spots, capturing more of the road and cabin environment.

4.6 WDR and Night Vision

Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology adjusts exposure balance to capture greater detail in both bright and dark areas, resulting in a more vibrant image. Coupled with Night Vision and 4 IR lights for the interior camera, the dash cam performs well in low-light conditions.

4.7 Screen Saver Feature

The unique screen saver feature allows the display to automatically turn off after 1 minute, while the dash cam continues to record video in the background. When the screen saver is active, the display can show recording status (red blinking dot), current driving speed, compass direction, time, and date.
