4. Setup and First Use

4.1 Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove all packaging materials from the tea maker and its accessories.
  2. Inspect the appliance for any damage. Do not use if damaged.
  3. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.

4.2 Initial Cleaning

  1. Wash the glass kettle, tea infuser, and lids with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  2. Wipe the exterior of the control base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.
  3. Dry all parts completely before assembly.

4.3 Assembly

  1. Place the electric control base on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface.
  2. Insert the removable auto tea infuser into the glass kettle, ensuring it aligns with the magnetic post.
  3. Place the infuser lid and then the top lid onto the glass kettle.
  4. Place the assembled glass kettle onto the electric control base.

4.4 First Use Cycle (Water Only)

Before brewing tea, it is recommended to run a cycle with water only to clean the internal components.

  1. Fill the glass kettle with water up to the "MAX WATER 1.7L" line.
  2. Ensure the tea infuser is empty and correctly placed.
  3. Plug the appliance into a grounded electrical outlet.
  4. Press the "Hot Water" button. The kettle will heat water to 212°F (100°C).
  5. Once the cycle is complete, carefully discard the hot water.
  6. Allow the kettle to cool before proceeding.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Control Panel Overview

5.2 Brewing Tea

  1. Add Water: Fill the glass kettle with fresh, cold water. Do not exceed the "MAX TEA 1.0L" line when brewing tea to prevent overflow.
  2. Add Tea Leaves: Open the tea infuser lid and add your desired amount of loose leaf tea. Close the infuser lid securely.
  3. Place Kettle: Ensure the kettle is properly seated on the electric control base.
  4. Select Tea Type: Press the "Tea Types" button repeatedly to select your desired tea type (Green, Herbal, White, Black, Oolong). The display will show the recommended temperature and brew time.
  5. Select Brew Strength: Press the "Strength/Keep Warm" button repeatedly to select your desired brew strength (Strong, Medium, Mild). This adjusts the brew time.
  6. Start Brewing: Press the "Tea/Cancel" button to begin the brewing process. The infuser will automatically lower into the water once the target temperature is reached.
  7. Infusion: The tea will steep for the selected duration. The infuser will automatically lift when brewing is complete.
  8. Serve: Carefully remove the kettle from the base and pour your freshly brewed tea.

5.3 Custom Brewing

For specific tea varieties or personal preferences, you can customize the temperature and brew time.

  1. Follow steps 1-3 from "5.2 Brewing Tea".
  2. Press the "Tea Types" button until "Custom" is selected.
  3. Use the "Up/Down" arrows next to "BREW TEMP" to set your desired temperature (105°F-212°F).
  4. Use the "Up/Down" arrows next to "BREW TIME" to set your desired brew time (30 seconds to 10 minutes).
  5. Press the "Tea/Cancel" button to start.

5.4 Hot Water Function

To simply boil water without tea infusion:

  1. Fill the glass kettle with water up to the "MAX WATER 1.7L" line.
  2. Ensure the tea infuser is empty or removed.
  3. Place the kettle on the base.
  4. Press the "Hot Water" button. The kettle will heat water to 212°F (100°C).

5.5 Delayed Start Function

Prepare your tea in advance to enjoy it at a specific time.

  1. Follow steps 1-3 from "5.2 Brewing Tea" (add water and tea).
  2. Set your desired tea type and brew strength.
  3. Long-press the "Delayed Start" button for 3 seconds.
  4. Use the "Up/Down" arrows to set the desired start time.
  5. Press "Tea/Cancel" to confirm. The appliance will start brewing at the set time.

5.6 Keep Warm Function

This function maintains the tea's temperature for 30 minutes after brewing.

  1. Before pressing "Tea/Cancel" to start brewing, press the "Strength/Keep Warm" button until "Keep Warm" is selected.
  2. Proceed with brewing as usual. After brewing, the kettle will maintain a temperature of 140°F (60°C) for 30 minutes.

6. Care and Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your tea maker.

  1. Unplug: Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Glass Kettle and Infuser: Remove the glass kettle and tea infuser. Wash them with warm, soapy water using a soft sponge or brush. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. These parts are not dishwasher safe.
  3. Control Base: Wipe the exterior of the control base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the base in water.
  4. Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up, especially in hard water areas.
    • Fill the kettle with a mixture of 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water.
    • Bring the mixture to a boil using the "Hot Water" function.
    • Let it soak for 15-20 minutes, then discard the solution.
    • Rinse the kettle several times with fresh water to remove any vinegar residue. Repeat if necessary.

Caution: Never use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaning pads, or metal brushes on any part of the tea maker, as this can damage the surfaces.

6.2 Storage

When not in use, store the tea maker in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
