- Open the VeriScan application on your IDWare 9000.
- Select the "Scan ID" option.
- Position the ID document (driver's license, passport, etc.) under the scanner's laser port. Ensure the barcode or relevant data area is clearly visible.
- Press one of the physical Scan buttons on the device. The scanner will automatically focus and capture the data.
- The parsed information will be displayed on the screen within seconds.
5.2 VeriScan Online Software Usage
The VeriScan Online software provides a user-friendly touchscreen interface for managing scanned data and performing various checks.

- 2D Barcode Security Checks: The system performs security checks for inconsistencies and anomalies within the 2D barcode on the back of the ID.
- Multi-Scan Alerts: The device includes passback protection to prevent IDs from being passed between guests, alerting you to multiple scans of the same ID within a set timeframe.
- Data Management: View scan history, check guest age, ID expiration date, add and manage groups and notes, and see the total number of scans.
