Maintenance
Battery Replacement
The watch uses one product-specific battery. When the display becomes dim or stops functioning, the battery needs replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.
Cleaning Your Watch
Wipe the watch case and strap with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the resin and acrylic components.
Water Resistance
Your Armitron Sport 40/8353 watch is water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet). This rating means it is suitable for swimming and snorkeling, but not for scuba diving. Do not operate buttons while the watch is submerged in water.
This chart illustrates the general guidelines for watch water resistance ratings. Your watch is rated for 100M (330FT).

Troubleshooting
- Display is blank or dim: The battery may be low or depleted. Replace the battery.
- Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode (if applicable, though this model typically does not have a lock). If issues persist, a battery reset (by a professional) might be needed.
- Time is incorrect: Re-enter time setting mode and adjust the time and date as per the "Setting Time and Date" section.
- Water inside the watch: Immediately take the watch to a qualified technician. Do not attempt to open it yourself, as this will void the warranty and compromise water resistance.
