2. Safety Information

3. Setup
3.1 Installing Batteries
- Turn the lantern upside down.
- Locate the battery compartment cover at the base.
- Twist the battery compartment cover counter-clockwise to unlock and remove it.
- Insert three (3) D-cell batteries into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside.
- Replace the battery compartment cover, aligning the tabs, and twist clockwise until securely locked.

4. Operation
4.1 Powering On and Changing Modes
- To turn the lantern ON, press the power button located on the top of the lantern.
- The lantern will typically start in High mode.
- Press the power button again to cycle through the available light modes (High, Low, Off).
- To activate BatteryGuard, ensure the lantern is turned OFF. The BatteryGuard feature automatically disengages the batteries from the circuit when the lantern is off, preventing residual power drain.

4.2 Battery Life and Brightness
The lantern offers different brightness levels and corresponding battery runtimes:
- High Mode: Provides maximum brightness (up to 600 or 1000 lumens depending on model) for approximately 30 hours.
- Low Mode: Provides reduced brightness for extended runtime, lasting up to 200 hours.
